Heroin I can't register and I don't know why!

Alright, my veins are showing up fine... really well, actually. I mean, they're all over my hands and my arms, I can see them REALLY well... but I can't register in any of them! WTF?! I know it's not my technique, I haven't been doing anything different than before. It's not my veins either, haven't been shooting long enough for that to be a problem yet, and besides half of these veins I've never even used or tried to use. Needle is practically parallel, bevel is up, needle is fresh, I'm doing everything right... but it just doesn't freaking register.

And I've been having this problem for a few days; it's not just that I'm having a bad day. The ONLY thing that's different is that my veins have been showing up better recently (I think because I'm slightly sick and my blood pressure has gone up because of it), but if anything that should just make it easier. I've tried the veins in my hands, knuckles, both top and bottom of my arm, elbow, even my wrist... no luck with any of them. I have NO idea what the hell is going on. It's like my veins decided to start showing up 100 times better just to torture me... I swear I'm starting to take it as like a sign or something, because this shit is getting frustrating. Too bad I'm not ready to go through the withdrawals yet...

Anyway, I'm starting to kick and I don't want that... like I said, not ready for it (I've been cutting down a lot though... so almost, but not quite)... so does anyone have ANY idea what the problem could be? I don't see how absolutely no vein at all will register. I found one yesterday, but that one stopped working too after only two uses... again WTF. So yeah, any help would be greatly appreciated... I'm really not a fan of dope withdrawals right now... thanks

try IMing it, it wont be as much of a rush, but thats what a lot of my junkie friends do when they run out of veins. or you can just smoke it. but i have no idea what this thing is with your veins. it could be just a side-effect from being dopesick, like some form of delirious craving thats making you "see" your veins very vividly

If u can't hit sometimes I like to draw up a little bubble and poke around a little with the needle already in so when I hit(just move slow so u don't go all the way through or hit a little then fall out) blood automaticlally shoots in n registers for me ..... Wow just typing that was triggering for me.
Also try the crook of ur arm - don't use hands! Unless a last resort - the crooks got a fat vein! Left arm

I think I figured out the problem... maybe... and I think I was just going in too shallow. I HAVE been holding the needle at a smaller angle since my veins starting popping up more, but it never even crossed my mind that could be a problem since I'd always heard you're supposed to go as shallow as possible anyway.

But go figure, I stuck the needle completely into the crook of my right arm at maybe a 45 degree angle or so, just for the fuck of it, and it registered right away. Problem solved for now, I guess? lol

IMing it is really dangerous due to its higher risk of asbcess. If you can't hit a vein and already have the shot prepped, you should rip the tip of the needle off and either plug the solution or drip it into your nose. IMing should not be an option unless maybe you have a micron filter, but even then I wouldn't trust some of the soluble cuts that can make it through and sit in your muscle for a while.

But back to the OP, even though he basically answered his own question..the same thing happens to me sometimes, especially with the veins in my hand..I see them, they look alright..but I can't register. Like you figured out, it usually comes down to the angle. Going deep, more parallel, etc. Some days your veins just act up..they're saying, "Hey man..cut it the fuck out will ya'?"

If it is not your hardware or technique then what else could it be?

First of all, use a new pin to make sure your is not clogged or if its brand new that its not defective.

Second of all, try changing your technique. As soon as your pierce the skin, pull back a few units to create a vacuum then proceed to insert the syringe until your pierce a vein, at which point blood will flume into the barrel b/c of your vacuum.
