Is killing a human being...

For all we know stepping on the cockroach is the greater crime from the Earth's standpoint. Humans use, abuse, and destroy whilst rarely replenishing or even doing anything worthwhile. I think its also pretty telling how humans always have "is killing/something dying more worthwhile than XXX?" style discussions, especially the "what if the being had no family/friends?". That shit in my mind is sadistic, who cares about that sort of shit?!?

Cockroaches will cannibalize each other, especially the dead ones.

Keep that in mind too.

How many of us eat human flesh?

You (your brain, that is) believe the reward (your enjoyment/satisfaction) is more important than any possible consequences. I guess saying right/wrong was sort of confusing. I was simply referring to the logical yes/no response to every choice in life. The response to everything is no until it isn't. You don't move until your brain tells you it's necessary, ie the "yes" state (I mislead you by calling it "good" earlier). Movement requires electrical impulses that originate from the brain, and the default state is to not send them. If you sit in your chair rather than stand up and eat, it's because your brain hasn't received sufficient stimulation to release chemicals that tell you you're hungry. This is "no". If you do things you know are "wrong" morally but you enjoy, your brain has received enough "yes" stimulation to overcome the inhibition threshold presented by morals. Everything in life is risk/reward, but obviously you don't consciously think in these terms. However, if the reward doesn't outweigh the risk, subconsciously, you don't act.

Faulty logic meet sleep walking.

Depends entirely on the person. Some people are no better then cockroaches and no fucker would miss them so putting them in the ground would not be a great loss to humanity.

Ever since I was young I always wondered why killing another human could be considered as "wrong" and killing animals, plants, insects, etc (aka other living creatures) to be "ok". I honestly don't see my human existence being greater, but at this point in my life if I happen to kill an annoying insect or whatever I tend to look as I did em a favour and they can move on to a better place.

We're all born to die and besides none of this real... life is but a dream.

All the technology that man has advanced. Does that count for anything or are we still pondscum?

Don't try and shift the burden of proof to me. You're the one who needs to prove that there is a difference and why we should value philosophy and or the internet.[technology]

Would you stop? NOTHING has meaning until we give it meaning. I said this like two pages back but nobody fucking listens. You could go on for days about "why does ___ count for anything?" Well because I fucking said so, and everything you might disagree with is as meaningless as what I said. It has meaning because the shitty chemicals in my brain create a sensation that I interpret as "meaning" and for no other reason.

Exactly. And now we know you know this, and everyone else should know this as well and then we can maybe stop having this argument trying to hide self-preservation/greed under the guise of some form of ethics/morality derived from the "inherent" qualities of the universe.

^HHH is particularly charmed at going on for days about "why does ___ count for anything?" Well because I fucking said so, and everything you might disagree with is as meaningless as what I said.
