Benzos Clonazepam faster onset?

Hey all,

I have to write a test from 12-1:50 tom, then around 210 I have a presentation.

I don't wanna be all geeked up for my test, so what can I do to speed up onset effects besides sublingually, because that takes half an hour to an hour anyway...

Usually I take 1.5 to 2 mg 1-2 hours before a presentation.
 
SWIM is proscribed 2mg wafers, onset of 15 minutes for him, but everybody reacts differently to every drug.
 
sublingual kicks in like 15-30 minutes for me. put the klonopin under your tongue and it should dissolve in 10 mins, and the kpin will bypass first-pass metabolism..winnning
 
i agree with zneg, the green minty ones (teva) absorb pretty quick via sublingual for me
 
You could snort it, but that's not much faster than sublingual, besides clonazepam tastes like candy:D. I've seen someone smoke it, it seemed to work, though not that effective. Really clonazepam just has a slow onset no matter what. Valium and Xanax are much faster acting. Clonazepam more something you'd take daily to get stable blood levels, rather than something for acute symptoms.
 
Clonazepam meant to be taken orally will not work faster by any measurable amount of time when taken sublingually. That is why there are sublingual tablets and oral tablets.
Some noticeable effects from clonazepam begin to be felt at about 30 minutes post-ingestion, but it intensifies by the hour mark. Alprazolam and diazepam are not "much" faster, but they are faster. Both alprazolam and diazepam have an onset and peak plasma levels are reached between 1-2 hours (diazepam has a longer peak time than alprazolam), while clonazepam has an onset and peak plasma levels are reached anywhere from 1-4 hours.

The "much" faster benzos are typically the hypnotics, of which most reach a higher level of intensity by the 30 minute mark - triazolam, nitrazepam, temazepam, etc.
 
I am on Wafers currently, however I have had both acta and teva manufacturers. If i remember correct the more colorful ones, (teva) I think, seemed to dissolve sublingually the best out of the tablets, however, if you really want a sublingual clonazepam experience, just ask your doc for the wafers, the only downside is theyre more expensive. 20$ for me with insurance, would be 70$ without.

Please dont klonopin through the nose. Theres no point, either under the tongue, or just take it orally as directed, thats when iv experienced the best results.

Lorazepam reaches peak intensity at around the two hour mark. For some, it may take a bit longer. That doesn't mean that effects aren't felt 1 hour after ingestion or even before an hour. It just doesn't reach peak intensity until around the 2nd hour after ingestion.

Edit: This seems to be true of another 3-hydroxy agent - oxazepam. It doesn't reach peak intensity until 3-4 hours after ingestion! However, two other 3-hydroxy agents - temazepam and lormetazepam - quickly reach peak intensity. Peak intensity can be reached as quickly as 30 minutes for both and effects are very intense at peak intensity.

As shown in this study.

Temazepam, flunitrazepam, and lormetazepam were compared in intensity by the hour mark. Temazepam was most intense at the "less than 2 hour after ingestion" mark, with 50% of subjects reporting intense effects, while 49% of flunitrazepam reporting the same effects, and 32% of lormetazepam subjects reporting also.

i also want you to note that i said "for me" i didn't say for everyone...
because back in the day (year or so ago maybe 2yrs i donno benzo use fucked my memory bad) my dr was going to use 10mg/day lorazepam to ween me off my clonazepam and phenazepam addiction and we had to switch to all clonazepam because lorazepam took too long to kick in FOR ME/ FOR MY LIKING. Clonazepam kicked in faster and harder FOR ME.

I don't have too much experience with lorazepam, I've probably taken less than 1000 ativan 2mg in conjunction with other benzos, and SL they kicked in for me, however weak, in about 15 minutes.

The vast majority of my experience with lorazepam has been IV. It really takes you guys 2 hours to feel ativan???? wtf?

Alprazolam is the best pill to SL IMO. I mean halcion is DAMN good too but I'm not recommending it to the OP who is not tolerant to benzos, and is using them for academic purposes, for which benzos are already slightly contradicted.
