Can't seem to trip off of ambien (zolpidem) + cross tolerance

Am i the only one here that can't seem to trip off of ambien/zolpidem?
I've taken up to 50mg at once for sleeping and i stayed up for like an hour.
How long does it usually take 'till you start seeing stuff?
Not when it peaks, just when you start to see stuff.

Do benzos have cross tolerance with benzo-analogs (z-drugs)?
'Cause i have a zopiclone (benzo-analog) tolerance and a little bit of a benzo tolerance.


Before anyone starts going on about how if i searched i'd find out, i did search, i couldn't find the answers i was looking for, therefore i made a thread

Yes there's cross tolerance.
If an hour goes by and no visuals, dose isn't high enough.

Uhm zolpidem isn't really "trippy"... When I would take Ambien at high doses: I'd black out, stumble around everywhere, slur the hell outta' my words, and the whole room would be spinning. Never had any hallucinations. If you wanna "trip", a psychedelic is much more suitable and predictable. Zolpidem is a strange drug, but uninteresting as a hallucinogen IMO/E.

It definitely gave me a strange, drunken, semi-dissociative high, but not what I'd refer to as a trip. It's what you'd expect out of a mostly hypnotic drug. Due to my high benzo tolerance, I had to take 50mg for the full blown effects to take place. The only time I've taken zolpidem it's been free. It's not something I'd actually pay for, but it's not even available in the drug market around my city. I'd definitely take it again though

Eat less GABA drugs. Your memory seems pretty fried with all these threads you make.

Give your receptors some recovery time.

BL isn't here to tell you how to or why you didn't trip on a drug.

Benzodiazepines and Z-drugs are cross tolerant.
