DXM and Prozac

I'm curious if any of you bluelighters have experienced this interaction? I have been take my daily 40mg prozac for over a year, and just started dabbling back into DXM.

I slowly grew from 200mg to 350mg to experimenting with 700mg. The feeling is sublime.

A very basic topic, but reply if you are on any SSRI's and dabbled into DXM.

I wouldn't recommend mixing them.. DXM has some SRI properties itself, and when you combine such drugs you risk serotonin syndrome.

Very true, I would recommend a ceiling dose of 1000mgs although this is just from personal experience and limited research I did while being in the dxm junkie trade. 1500mg is the standard ceiling dose where serotonin syndrome starts to become a possible reality for an average user. Again we are all unique so this is no guarentee of what you or anybody else can take, just an opinion.

Yeah its definitely more dangerous while taking SSRI's, although I've done it on several occasions and gotten through safely. Although i have noticed a few more side effects, mainly just makes my head and neck very hot and itchy (weird right?). But ask yourself...Is it worth the risk? For me, last few times havent been worth it, but I've had many before that were
