questions about needles/syringes

I'm asking the fucking questions!
hi, I was just needing to ask a few questions about needles.

Firstly I'm talking about needles and syringes that are needed for IM injection of testosterone which I believe need to be 1 inch long.
Though I don't know what kind of syringe is needed, its a 1ml injection is all I know at present. I hear people talking about “gauges” and “cc”. Are these the same things but like imperial/metric? I live in the UK. What size is needed for 1ml of testosterone?

Are needles available over the counter in the uk in pharmacys and if so (sorry if this is considered sourcing but I'm assuming its not) what should be asked to get the needles e.g for b-12 injections...

And finally is there any way to find out if my city (Belfast N.Ireland) has a needle exchange and where it is?

I hope I'm not sourcing here I'm not sure of the rules when it comes to syringes but if I'm in the wrong don't answer and report me to a mod. But mods if I am in the wrong can you just snip the part where I've fucked up and keep the rest open please :)

cc is a measure of volume, cubic centimetre. 1cc=1ml. gauges refer to the width of the needle, the higher the g, the smaller the width of the needle. you want a 22-25g needle, 1 to 1.5 inches long.

i don't know if needles are available otc in uk, i would expect so. i use exchangesupplies if i'm buying them.

use google, google maps to find your nearest needle exchange. belfast most certainly will have one, most towns do, they can be located in pharmacies

What difference does the gauge of the needle make then? Would it not just be the cc that matters? If the gauge is 22, will the cc be the same for every syringe with a 22 gauge? Exactly what needle is needed for what I'm after? Do I just ask for a 22 gauge syringe? Thanks again
 
the cc refers to the syringe, the amount of fluid the syringe holds, the gauge refers to the needle, the width of the needle.

some syringes have needles fitted, some are just the barrel.

you need a 1ml/cc syringe and a 22 - 25g 1 - 1.5inch needle. i don't know much about IM stuff or steroids.

The gauge refers to the diameter of the needle. Higher gauge = smaller (thinner) needle confusingly :D so 25G is thinner than 22G. This means less damage and pain when you inject. Too small, however, and the needle can be a bit too flimsy for IM injection, plus it is harder to force the liquid through a really thin needle, especially if you have a large-ish volume.

The most important thing here is the length; 1 inch minimum, possibly 1 1/2, otherwise you will be giving yourself a subcutaneous injection which has a higher risk of complications such as infection, and the absorption of the drug will be significantly impaired.
 
Gauge=how "fat" the needle itself is, and should be determined by the level of comfort and utility you desire.

Oh yeah and my other question does anyone have an answer for it? How do I go about getting syringes in the uk? Apart from needle exchanges?
