Ever since my first injection, I've been an HR junkie. Always wanting more info. My wife and I are always educating helping and answering questions. We've given away needles, condoms, sterile supplies. We've helped give cpr and narcan to friends in need and given lessions on how to do it. Every user needs to know this stuff. HR does more than reduce harm. It keeps people alive. And everytime you educate someone in HR, you give that person a better shot of staying alive. Your position in life shouldn't dictate weather you deserve to die. Every death is felt by someone. (Go look at the shrine thread if you forgot)

I'd love to be a mod here. But, honestly, I am content just contributing. I know there's plenty of other intelligent caring people who are worthy and qualified. I just wanted to let everyone know my feelings of how serious I feel access to and education of HR information and HR in general are.

There are very few places on the internet that promote HR like bluelight and want to thank you all for keeping it afloat.

Sure there are some issues that are iffy as far as harm reduction is concerned. For instance, is it really necessairy to tell people how to shoot up fentanyl. I kind of struggled with such topics, but ultimately I think that yes, it is, because you will have people doing it regardless, so they might as well know how to do it in a way that is the least harmful. I think if more people were given the information on this site, a lot of lives, and medical expesnes would be saved. I can't tell you how many times I've heard things from street addicts like "you can shoot up your charred flavored methadone, you just got to boil it down", or "you can inject Xanax using water". Fuck man, most people don't even know that you can catch hepatitis C from sharing a cooker or even the same water.

Yes, as much as I want this position (and I really do!), I'm glad that all the applicants are top notch, and whoever does become OD's new moderator, is gonna be kick ass I'm sure

I couldn't agree with these sentiments more! Exactly my feelings. There is no downside to this thing (or so you people have led me to believe), so I'm looking forward to the outcome regardless.
 
Good luck to all! For what it's worth, I've seen lots of super accurate information from Tricomb. There are lots of great applicants, in my opinion.

Thanks! I don't want to pick "favorites" but Zneg is an awesome dude/resource. So is TPD, hood, and most of the applicants. It's really hard to have to pick just one, I feel bad for the admins who have to narrow it down!

I wonder if it's always this hard to pick a new moderator? as you guys obviously have mentioned, it's a pretty awesome position to be in, in a somewhat uncomfortable way ;) There Seem to be so many great choices. I am fairly new around here, but what's funny to me is this...
There are quite a few applicants who have helped me out in the short amt. of time I have been around...
And Here they are, applying for this position. Administrators, you really do have your jobs cut out for you this time!!
 
I have learned a lot from this site. Today I was watching tv with my husband and it was over cops busting heroin dealers and users. He said " why are people stupid enough to use heroin? They know it is bad for you and is highly addictive!" I have never done it my self but, I have read countless posts on the subject and answered accordently , " Nobody ever wakes up and say Hey I wanna be heroin addict! It is a long drawn out process that starts off with a mental or physical problem. They start out using pain pills or something like that and build up tolerance and before you know it your looking at a syringe and powder."

Then of course he asked if I was thinking about using heroin because I pain pills and I was like no. I try to keep my tolerance down and never try to chase the high. But I am going to use less this week so I can lower my tolerance.

Back to the point, I have learned so much from this site and enjoy reading posts. Bluelight has helped me in so many ways. I look forword to welcoming the new Mod.


I'm glad I have a place to go to read up on different drugs from real people and Mod who look over it all and keep it in check.
 
All I can say is, whoever wins this thing, is going to do a great job. I feel like in the last month or so, Bluelighters have really stepped up their game in OD, and I respect the hell out of the current OD mods, because this forum is no easy task.

I'm worried 'cause I listed 3 different drugs as my DOC... It's so hard to pick one though!! I mean, I'm just not sattisfied unless I have heroin and cocaine (though I would nowadays prefer to replace the coke with an RC stim, what with that levamisole shit)

Znegative, I think MANY of us have been in that place. I mean, I've never (and I do mean never lol) known anyone whose DOC is coke-without alcohol or a benzo or something, right alongside it. That may be a silly, too simple example, but....it IS only an example. People evolve, and I seriously doubt there are lots of people on here who would say they've had the same DOC for 10 years, ya know?
Like Zoeylynn said, nobody wakes up and decides to become an addict-of any kind-for life.
That's what's so awesome about this forum...SO many different points of view,from all walks of life... but most of the bullshit weeded out (kindly, usually ;)).
 
Guys you are all correct...

This application round is giving me headaches. SO many quality applicants... Simply So many...

I can honestly see all of you being great moderators and it's going to be a lengthy, lengthy discussion about who we bring onto the team.
 
The only solution is that we all meet up in Siberia and fight each other.. The last one alive gets the position, as well as the collected substances of our fallen comrades.
 
okay, but on one condition: The only weapon allowed to be used (and none other would be allowed - including punching, kicking, etc. etc.) is live untrained squirrel(s).

Well, tbh, I think the real reason we all applied was simply to give the (s)mods more work. You see, we believe they have too much free time on their hands ;)

Hypothetically, I'd take you all out with weaponized Wildnil or 3-MF, russian style if we're in siberia.

...Nah, I don't want to kill or injure any of the other applicants, great resources not to be wasted for base pleasures IMO.
 
well, there are other base pleasures that won't kill us. lots and lots of them.

injure? well, maybe if you consider psychological trauma...

and some certainly require the use of other applicants, or at least parts of their bodies

and souls.

No, I think I'm just going crazy, almost like I was hearing the police outside my front door because I was smoking crack (apparently, any amount of crack is too much crack for me).
