Acid in freezer help

just picked up a 10strip if i wrap it in tinfoil and put it in the freezer will it keep for 2 months?

No it's plastic and plastic lets air through. Glass doesnt.

But you don't need to put it in the freezer to last 2 months anyway - it will last years if you place it somewhere dark at room temperature.

Um yeah I'm gonna go ahead and say that may be a decision that is very quickly regretted.
Just me though.
 
Hey man, here is what I would suggest for best results:

As people have told you, air, light, and heat are the worst for the chemical. What tends to be the best bet is to wrap it tightly in some aluminum foil, and then toss it in a ziplock bag, then put that in a mason jar, and toss it in the fridge or freezer. I tend to do the fridge... I think it probably is better because it would be harder to condensate after removing it from the cold (no sources on this, just personal experience and logic).
 
In this case moisture is your worst enemy but it won't degrade much over 2 months. I wouldn't go to the trouble of freezing it if I were you. You only really need to wrap it in tin foil and put it in a dark place but even just storing it between two pages is fine.
 
fridge is better. make a couple airtight layers with some sort of light barrier involved as well. as previously stated: heat, light, and oxygen are the worst enemies of any drug potency. I find that freezing molecules tendsto shock them and allow for degradation. wheras the back/bottom of the fridge provides the perfect environment for the least degradation given the proper precautions (defense from heat, light, and oxygen). i find a layer or two of plastic bags, followed by some foil, then a tupperware container is full-proof. itll keep for years. try freezing a salad and unthawing it and youll get my point
 
anybody care to explain why i can't keep the tabs it in tin foil, in an airtight mason jar, in a drawer??
 
i always wrap in tin foil, then wrap in plastic, then a mason jar, in a pelican case, in a freezer, in an underground bunker.

Plastic lets air through it - you could wrap it in 50 plastic bags and air would still get through it.
