Well I know a lot of people who like taking drugs and I am one of these. I stopped though I hope for ever :) <3.
Their is no prove to this and I can not say that this goes for everyone, but most of the poeple who take drugs have ads or adhs.
What do you think about this is it somehting worth studying or has it already been studyd?

I pu this i this thread becasue it lkind of belongs to pill testing.

I would say it's worth looking into if it hasn't been studied already.
I've noticed the same trend. I'm curious as to whether is has to do with a heightened affinity toward sensual perception. I've also noticed that the most artistically talented people I know also tend to have ADD/ADHD, and more often than not also an attraction to illicit substances.

Yes I have noticed the exsact same if I were grown up I would defanatly write a report and maby even a book onb it do a few tests you know.
But yeah the mother of my best friend is an aretist and she smokes a lot of pot with her son. Some artist say it makes them more cretive.

Eh, I say nay. I have been evaluated for ADD-ADHD several times, and they swear up and down that I don't have it. And I love drugs.

Ofcorse people who dont have the deficites are likely to use drugs too. But the "people" boarn with ADHD-ADD are more likely (the induvidual) to try out/use drugs. I have decided to study nerologie and medications.

I've had ADHD since I was very little. I was diagnosed when I was maybe 5? Not sure the exact age, but I was put on Ritalin at a very young age, and I was very hyper active. Ever since I came off the Ritalin at about age 9, maybe 10, I've always been the opposite of active, though my mind is always racing.

I believe a large part of our generation being this way is due to our media. Look at television, look at social network sites and the internet. Everything is constantly changing, constantly flying by. It's no wonder our generation has the attention span of a squirrel.

Theres no such thing as being naturally energetic anymore. Everyones got to have a fucking classification. "oh my johnny cant do his homework because he has ADHD get him some pills doctor quick!"

Actually, Johnny doesnt want to do his homework because hes a fucking kid, and homework is ridiculous anyway.

Too many shitty parents who dont know how to deal with kids so they get em a script of ritalin or aderrall, thats why so many kids "have ADHD" today.

Bullshit diagnosis is bullshit, and if you dont believe me I have some snake oil for sale.

I m not talking about that ADHD! More like the ADHD where you cant sit still you always ahve to have soemthinjg in your hand you want to stand in the center of atenshion all the time. Stuff like that. What you just explained made really no sense like you said!

Kids wiht the defizit I just explained have abigger chance in using drugs. That is my hypothesis

This has to do with mental health and drug use, there is no drug talk in Second Opinion, and i think this is better suited for Healthy Living.

I have many friends who use drugs and can honestly say only one or two are diagnosed adhd. (They are usually patients of mine and have to fill out a medical form so it's not just a case of them not telling me).

In the past decade or so it has been a real trend to diagnose any kid who plays up, is hyperactive or generally a trouble maker at school as having a medical problem not a social problem and therefore they are often medicated. From personal experience there really isn't a correlation to the type of person who enjoys recreational drug use, you either do or you don't.

I'm not a doctor nor do I live in the US so it is apples and pears. Some recent studies have put the global rate of adhd at around 5.3%. It is probably diagnosed at 11% in the US. In Australia it varies even between states, the Northern Territory is 50% higher rate of diagnosis than the national average. This might be genetic or more likely it is related to socio economic factors. Personally I'd say there is more drug users in the world than those who fall into the diagnosing categories.

It is important to remember that diagnosing adhd is still extremely subjective. There is no blood test and sometimes kids play up because they are just little shits, not because they have a medical condition.

^Also being interested in health, I have always thought that diet has a large role in developing behaviour. If you are being fed high sugar, highly processed, caffeinated and high fat foods and beverages constantly from a young age I think you are more likely to act in anti-social ways.

I have seen Mothers give their toddlers full strength Coca Cola and complain that they don't behave and/or are too energetic and/or don't sleep. :\

We saw a primary school student (i'm guessing about 8-11 years of age) happily chugging down a 500ml can of V energy drink at 7.30am the other morning :\ So many kids are 'diagnosed' various disorders (attention deficit, hyperactivity), when some of them are just hepped up on caffeine and sugar. It's sad that these conditions are so quickly settled upon as a diagnosis, with the inevitable drugging of the kids with medications like ritalin.

I also don't think there is any major correlation between having ADD/ADHD and becoming a drug user...

No Im still taking of the people with the REAL defizit. The kids who are hyper without cofein, taurin, guana, sugar or fatt and all the other things that make little kids hyper.
Also ADHD doesnt really have to with all of that. I meen if you drink a energie drink your likely not to eb able to coincetrate but you wont always have to do soemthing or have something to fool around with in your hands. I know I use to have ADD because I would aqlsways touch everything I coudnt sit still my concentrashion was bad. WITH A GOOD DIET EVEN! Son what im trying to find out is how many percent of these kids that are REALLY diagnosed with ADHD (5.9% have ADHD like Busty said) abuse drugs before their 19th year of age.

Oh and people ADD-ADHD usally goes away after a while.

Your spelling and grammar is pretty scary I think you have some other type of deficit!

*Your spelling and grammar are pretty scary (some form of punctuation is needed here. Peroid, comma, semicolon, take your pick.) I think you have some other type of deficit!

Yup - so many kids just need to change their diet and they would be much MUCH calmer. I'm sure they could concentrate if they just cut out white sugar down to once a week...they should replace it with other forms of UNREFINED sugar, and fruits.

There's actually a good part of that Codex Alimentarius vid (in the C.A) thread, regarding the link between diet and being a little shit - change the diet, watch the change in personality...white sugar is poison - I'm trying really hard to get one of my ladies to get her kids off the stuff - they're totally addicted, they remind me of me when I was a youngsta - fiending for that sugar, like if there's no sweets or pastries or fruit in the house they will actually eat straight out of the bag of sugar.
