Opioids wtf i just injected 4mg in a vein and no rush

Been shooting dilaudid for very long and always felt the rush very strongly everytime even at 1mg, just 10min agi i shot FOUR mg exactly in my vein and i did register dark red and im sure i was right on and i felt no rush at all how come wtf is that did i mistakenly inject into an artery and if so will i have the same effect or is the shot wasted???
 
If you shot into an artery you would have known all about it - You would have had frothy red/pink blood come back into the syringe, and the shot itself would have burned/hurt like hell, and would have given you hot flushes and several other nasty symptoms.. In other words, as said, if you did hit an artery you would have known all about it. As to why your shot didn't affect you, that I can not answer, but if you have been shooting for ages as you have implied, then I would suggest your tolerance is getting to a jacked up point.
 
dude, normally i do 1mg or 2mg, and I feel the rush GREATLY, ive done 4mg TWO TIMES prior to this and the rush was OUT OF THIS WORLD for me... and now... NOTHING... like not even a small bit, absolutely NADDA...

I reshuffled the product with a little more water, pulled another shot and used another vein, and i know that there was at least 90% of the diladid gone and I still felt a great rush the second time... so what the hell was that?

atm exept the fact i'm freaking out i have absolutely no pain, no redness, no fuzzing, no skimmering, and altho the blood seemed a bit less dense i didn't really see a difference in the blood color... the only diff i saw was that my injection site was growing a bit... like if i was shooting in a place where theres no entry and no exit, and that it has to stay there, but i just say this now cuz i'm thinking about verything afterwards, i wouldn't even have think about it if i just felt a normal rush ATM i'm massaging my arm, to see if all of a sudden id get a rush from the vein unwinding or something... help me out here i'm really stressing my ass out.

Bump for answer, I wish someone can clarify this situation... Seems like the 4mg did it's effect the normal way it had to... I got everything the same exept for the starting rush... Something clearly cut it, but how... and if it really was an injection ni an artery but for some reason it didnt hurt, tell me what immediate damage i'm looking into?

ATM I have absolutely nothing on my arm, no redness, no bruises, no pain... just like if i did a normal shot exept absolutely no rush... seriously this is scary so much its weird lol.
 
ive had a couple shots not give a rush, cant explain it except move on down the road and get some more dilaudid. If problem persists discontinue use
 
It could just be a random thing, or you could have missed some of your shot - this is possible even if you draw back blood, as the needle can be half-in half-out or it can slip half way through. The drug could still have been absorbed, but that would eliminate the rush. That could explain the temporary swelling you had at the injection site too - I think this is the most likely explanation.

The colour of blood is not a reliable indicator of whether you are in an artery or not, although bright red blood should be a warning sign. You should be able to identify an artery before you inject - arteries have a pulse, and feel different to veins. Generally speaking veins tend to be nearer the surface, although there are a few spots where arteries can be too (such as the wrist and the inside of the elbow) and veins such as forearm veins can be fairly deep. You should become familiar with the locations of arteries so you know to avoid those places when you IV. If you hit an artery the blood usually enters the syringe with some force and sometimes you can see it pulsing. It is also more painful to inject into an artery.

this. had exact same thing happen to me this morning. hour later at work massaging where i registered but clearly missed some of it got a nice high.
 
^ yeah - it will effectively be a subcutaneous shot. Obviously if this happens there is the potential for complications such as abscess formation, but if you keep an eye on the area and there is no redness/swelling/pain/heat then it sounds like it is okay.
