what's the difference? i've been trying to find out what it is but i can't, could someone explain it to me?

Hi, welcome to BL!
Basic Drug Discussion is for more.. basic topics :D Things we tend to cover include dosage, effects, combinations, safety questions, CWEs, bioavailability, basic IV questions and assorted other harm reduction related queries. Any queries about MDMA are covered by Ecstasy Discussion, psychedelics and dissociatives by Psychedelic Drugs and cannabis by Cannabis Discussion however. We are primarily a quick question and answer forum and encourage everyone to start their own thread with their question.
The next step would be Other Drugs. Other Drugs tends to cover slightly more in-depth topics and things that might generate more discussion. They also have megathreads (see the OD directory) covering various different drugs and topics. IV complications, methadone, buprenorphine/Suboxone, tapering plans and RC stims are all things that tend to be covered by OD specifically, although there is a lot more. Your thread may get merged into the appropriate megathread. There is overlap between BDD and OD. If you are not sure where to post, PM one of the moderators or post it in here and we can move it over if it is better suited elsewhere
Advanced Drug Discussion covers scientific discussion about drug chemistry and pharmacology. Take a look at the threads there for an idea of what an ADD-appropriate question is. They also have a sticky at the top of the forum if you have a slightly less advanced chemistry/pharmacology query.
It is important to take a look at the guidelines of any forum before posting (usually found right at the top of the page or stickied within the forum) and feel free to PM a mod if you have any queries, we're happy to help

If you check this page there is a list of moderators underneath each forum name
You can usually find them listed in the forum guidelines too. If you can't contact a moderator or you need to speak to someone more senior then there are senior staff (senior moderators and admins) assigned to each forum - senior moderator assignments are here and admins here. Mods should be your first port of call though

If you are still unsure about where you should post a particular thread, you can post it in Homeless Threads, and a moderator will move it from there into the correct forum for you.
