Regional Heroin Discussion v13: Points of reference

Apparently there is going to be a bit of a gear shortage in Dublin for the next few weeks. So the already shit gear will be stepped on further. I heard this from a reliable-ish source (i.e. not some idiot talking big on the street).

Can anyone else confirm this? Grifiin maybe? Or have Dubliners been finding it harder to score lately?

Doesn't bother me, had a few recent slip ups but I am well and truly done with it now, I have far more important things to be sinking my time and money into. Mad though, how long this drought is lasting.
 
Hi Tryptamite! No i never heard anything about that, but i wouldn't be at all surprised! The only difference i noticed was that i was offered a discount on gear from 2 different sources, the price of a €20 bag went down to €15! I took that as a very bad sign & went else were, but i most likely just went & bought the same gear else were & paid a fiver extra!

Class-A-Team said she was offered gear at the same reduced price as i was, a few of my mates were offered the same thing as well, i think its very strange indeed that the price of heroin is dropping! I reckon its coz so many people have stopped useing, the dealers must be finding it very difficult to shift what they have! But people are so sick of been ripped off, the gear is so bloody weak!

I think it will be a good thing if there is a shortage of gear in Dublin, maybe all the weak crap is running out! I've found it so strange that everyone in North & South Dublin is selling the very same weak gear! A huge shipment of the it must have got in, it can only be a good thing if its running out!

My cravings are still as bad as ever, so i'd be very glad if there was a shortage, at least it would prevent me from wasting so much money! :( You have been doing really well at staying away from gear Tryptamite! Fair play to you! :) I really wish i had done the same thing! I'm so stupid for buying something when i know its bad!

This drought has been going on a long time now, nearly 1 year & 5 months!!! Things seem even worse in the rest of Ireland, Griffin lives in Limerick & he sez there is nothing down there at all. You'd think Limerick would have gear with it being such a big place, but it seems not! This drought has really hit Ireland bad!!!
 
no there is h in limerick but it's worse than whats in dublin and people still buy it but not all users buy it i'd tryptamite in my guess there won't be a drought on the drought gear been hearing the same as you a good few times and it never happened anyway your better off staying away from it a waste of money
 
all good gear should taste like opium - one of the 1st tests i do is smell the smoke off the foil to see how opiumy it is.

PAPAVERSOM-I had some of that gear right back at the start of the drough
me and a mate both lost a whole day-very worrying when you no clue what you done

the police tested the gear that I am alleged to have been involved with-57% I think

Kat they have fucked up the paper work and appears to be a tear out of date wtf is your brief doing about it? people have had cases kicked out for less.

the problem i have is nobody wants to read through the texts
my barrister asked me if the texts exist which i assume they do as the pigs read them to me
the date thing is baffling me
i am told the texts mention the drought but the main clue is the date he got busted
that day (the man) was due to send to him
but nothing happened
i cannot find out what date he was busted because he won't speak to me as he gave me up to plod
i have moved from home town now so everything is 10 times harder to do
 
Been getting the best gear I have had for a while for the last week or so hard rocks but you can see the layers where its been pressed - v expensive but 9/10 ,2 and a nod, not pale but brown tho not v dark - slight cut which fizzles out v quickly then runs to a pin point - shame my money is running out , still i do need a break, anyone had anything similar - seems to be a fair bit of it about as my fella has had it for 2 weeks with a couple of days without had a wee bit too much at lunch and this afternoons work agenda is evaporating as I keep nodding over my key board.

@KAT - sounds really dubious and your brief sounds crap he should get all that information - itt sounds vital to your case, might even be worth changing him if you can.

I take 60mls a day, but i'm guessing 'half life' means that that each day when i take my methadone dose that half of yesterdays dose is still in my system, is that right? :? So when i stop taking it for a few days i have no build up in my system & thats why i felt so bad yesterday!

I'll never let that happen again! It has happened countless times in the past, but i always thought that it happened coz i'd stopped using gear, not coz i didn't have a build up of methadone in my system! You think i would have known that after all these years! Blondin has often talked about the half life of methadone, you see you do learn things off these forums!!! :)

You would be surprised at the relatively small amount of gear you need to stop being sick and if you have been off the juice for that amount of time you might do what i do which is to do a double dose to get the 'done to kick in (I normally split the dose by 6-7 hours) then start on a slightly higher dose (maybe 70-80 a day) dropping 5mgs a day till you get to an even keel.I STRESS this is what I do and IM no Doctor.

BTW the 1/2 life of gear is about 6 hours which is why lots of junkies have 4 hits a day and why you wake up on the verge of WD's if you had your last hit relatively early.
 
The gear i last had was a tan brown, odd crystally bits in there, it tasted exactly like smoking opium, i shot half the bag & didnt get a great rush but i think i i.v'd too much 'cos i had to take a anti nausea pill & lay down.

Later i shot half as much & the high was superb: alot like the kind of nights in bed you get on opium tea - not sleeping but you dont mind 'cos rolling around in bed is like getting a massage on a cloud.

My guy told me yesterday that the bags will be getting bigger next week - when i'll be picking some up (not sure if that will be a good thing or not). Must say i'm looking foward to a shot of salvation. Once in a while ; )
 
Still crap for me. Well, I say crap, I been getting alright stuff but it's fucking £15 a point, they're taking the piss really. So I aint bothering today.

I shud be getting some decent stuff Sunday, it's supposed to be good and this is coming from far away(ish) so we'll see. The proof of the pudding is in the eating and all that...If I had a quid for every time someone had said they had good stuff...

On that subject I scored of someone the other day and it was supposed to be good. It wasn't, I had to have my fucking meth later on...rubbish.

I've started to widen my net further. I know LOTS of dealers and users but they all go to similar people, covering a 40 odd mile wide area. Of course, there are gonna be plenty of dealers and users within this area that I don't know and it is these that might have better stuff. Or maybe the good gear thing is just a myth.

That sounds just like the gear I'm getting. has pressed rocks which are quite hard,very light brown and tastes strong.2 bags would get you nodding if you weren't distracted.

I think its more a 7/10 if I'm honest,but I suppose everyone's judgement will differ. its good gear nonetheless :)

15 pound a point thats <snip> what the fuck this shit ass country coming too yeah im thinking good gear is a myth nothing decent round gloucester unless you rich and that aint all that i think heroin is over for the forseable future aint been on here in a month is kat still about hope you all doin well tidy 1

Only if you're doing it wrong -- stop heating before you stop breathing in, and keep the foil tilted so the beetle runs onto a cold bit. Hold the tube as low as you dare, but try not to dip it in, obviously. If you make it chisel-tipped, you can use the aperture facing down to take in more at once, or up so the smoke has to travel around and over and builds up a nice bonus beetle for you.

Tell you what, bring a couple of bags around here and I'll show you ..... :D

Dunno if its me but i dont get that lol can you elaborate on the chisel tip idea?

Always after more effective smoking methods :D

Start with a strip of foil half a width longer than you want your tube to be. Fold over one corner at 45 degrees, so the short side lines up along the long side. Fold the other corner back down to the newly-formed corner and you should now have a "child's drawing of a tall, narrow house" shape. When rolled up, it will have a chisel-shaped end, exposing more square millimetres to the smoke.
 
Ahh i get you,i can see how that might work,i'll give it a test later hopefully. Something i've started doing, im not sure how effective it is but when blowing the smoke out i blow onto my tray. I can definately see residue appear if i keep doing it.

Any more Tips for econo-smoking?

this is how I make my tube
that and the other end (the floor of the tall house) folded once or twice to strengthen it
by doing this and being sure to roll it so the folded parts are on the OUTSIDE,your residue collects nicely in the middle of the foil so you don't have to worry about it running off the edge or going up in flames as a result of being too near to the edge

over time you learn to miss as little as possible when smoking
I have watched new smokers with the smoke billowing around their head
so I understand why some would regard it as wasteful,but doesn't have to be

It makes me cringe seeing people waste gear, there was one guy i remember who would get 5-6 lines from a bag when everyone else would be getting 20+ and when it come to the tooter he would just hover his mouth above and wave a fat flame underneath. Everytime he had a bag it would just catch the corner of your eye, billowing smoke above his head,Just the thought makes me cringe in disgust!haha he used to stress when everyone tried to tell him,think he was just too stubborn for his own good.

I start out with a piece just over twice as long as i want my tooter and about 5 inches wide. Fold in half lengthways and then fold in half widthways, this ensures the gear collects in the middle of the tray when opened. On the opposite end to the centrefold, lengthways, i fold over 2 or three times for the same reasons as you Kkattastic and to indicate the mouth end, and then roll up and smoke away.

My tooter has had a fair few re-vamps over the years,maybe another one to come with the chisel tip,it'll look a gear ink pen lol (simple things... :) )
