Cats or Dogs?

Heh, I had some friends over a few weeks back, and I've got a picture of a certain BL'er lying down with both my kittens sitting on his stomach. 'Awwww furry'

I've got another picture, of a friend in the middle of a DMT trip, holding both kittens in his arms, and he has a huge smile on his face. They both were drawn to him like a magnet as soon as he started tripping. It was lovely to watch.

The first time I took peyote, we kept looking at Winston my cat going, " fucking hell, look how BIG he is". fun Trip sitters.

Acts like a teenager when hes not sleeping, but all in all.. a lush cat.

I can only assume there is an actual cat in amongst that pic somewhere, Urb. Kinda like a Rorschach test in feline form.

As a slight aside, I watched a corking documentary earlier (to be posted in the relevant thread shortly) which features toffs. One of said toffs seemed to have a frankly freaky animal cruelty thang going on which I won't go into (cos you can watch it fo' yo' bad selves soon enough) but his thoughts on the Dog/Cat debate are worth a mention.

I'm paraphrasing (but only very slightly)...

Yuppie Fuck: I love dogs. Can't stand bloody cats though. Shoot the bastards in fact. The vicar once caught me in his graveyard shooting cats. Dogs, on the other hand, you can kick as often as you like and they'll come back for more.

:|

I pretty much rest my case. Dogs are for folks who need to OWN a fellow creature in body, mind and soul. Cats are for folks that realise all are equal but coolness is a bonus.

Also, totally agree with the cat + MDMA thang. Combo gold <3

Incidental aside: I spent a weekend with a coupla much <3 EADDers a while back in a house in the boonies here in Wales. They brought their dog (same one mentioned above in fact) whilst I brought chemical chums. Despite the fact that I actually became quite fond of said creature, the way it looked at me whenever I took a toot of peev was frankly horrible. Depressing in fact. Being looked down on by a dog who is so clearly ashamed of you that it can do naught but point it's arse in your face and look back in sorrow and pity over its shoulder is a chastening experience indeed :|

Dog all the way. I've had many cats over the years, but I just don't give that much of a shit about them. I have a bitch of a Jack Russel called 'Mandy', and over Christmas she attacked me (my own fault winding her up at floor level) & tore my lip. Little shit.

One of my ex's dogs used to try and stop me from smoking crack.
It used to physically place itself inbetween me and the pipe whilst whining and staring at me.

A cat would never do such a thing.

Cats. There are good reasons we don't talk about "cat's breath" or smelling like a "wet cat". Even though they, too, clean their arseholes with their tongues, they are considerably cleaner.

I have never seen a cat eat cat, or any other, shit. :|

Dogs would be ideal pets if I had not to take them out three freaking times a day.

I've got 7 pets, so its safe to say I like animals. People who 'hate' animals in whatever form/species/breed make me suspicious slightly. If they have an irrational fear/phobia, that's another thing. But hating animals is just one of those red flags, for me.

It's the same for people who 'hate' children.

They make me take about ten steps sideways in my head.

To be fair I think people sometimes throw the word "hate" about without really intending its full implications.

I have probably said at some point "I hate children" but I don't really hate them, I'm just not going to ooh and aah at your child who is no more beautiful or clever then any other child I've met or am likely to meet! What I really meant when I've said that is that children often turn parents into a kind of obsessive maniac, for a few years at least. The children themselves are normally quite pleasant! (until the parents have completed their indoctrination).

Not sure how that applies to animals though:\

Some people just genuinely think animals are disgusting and void of souls and no better than pesky flies (which IMO are just as valid a lifeform as any human (especially after reading how flies turn to alcohol if they can't get laid)).

I don't like people who have no time for their fellow animals, be it other humans or my pet cat.
