Fuck am I pissed off. Just had letter from work saying we are being bought out by another company which means a lot of us have been put into a pool and out of that pool some of us will be made redundant.
If we are chosen we will find out by next Wednesday.
If I'm selected then bang goes my ability to pay for my gear habit.
So now got to shit myself silly until I find out for sure. Not a happy chappy whatsoever.

Hey Bluelight!!

Not been around these parts in a while. Just thought I'd drop in and say hey.

I just got back from 3 weeks backpacking around Europe. Was supposed to be a month, but I reached the point where I wasn't enjoying myself anymore so caught a flight back from Prague.

Have seen some amazing things and had some amazing times, but mostly just realised that I really love my life here in England. Practically had an orgasm buying bacon at the shop -- being able to COOK for myself again is going to be awesome. Also looking forward to doing some gardening and generally enjoying my personal space. And of course have got some substances lined up for my last week before I have to go back to work.

A part of me really wanted to love travelling so much that I'd find my life here wanting and throw in the towel on work and carry on for a few months. I guess it's good that's not the case -- I've worked hard to get where I am and it'd be a shame if it was all a waste.

I still need to find another job since mine sucks, but generally I'm just delighted to be home.

filled my car up today and a full tank of diesel cost me €83, when i bought my car a few years ago the same amount cost €45

I saw your avatar and I thought "here's CCF, pretending to be angelsmoke again!" But no it was angelsmoke ;)

The bit I put in bold - it's never a waste, because everything you've experienced goes to make YOU, so how could it be a waste? Sorry that's a bit pukey isn't it.
 
anyone been to Bruges?

I've got an all expenses paid 'dutch dash' to do for my dad next week, but it's to bruges rather than the usual rotterdam or Amsterdam

9-5 in bruges before getting shuttled back to the ferry. what should I be doing with my day, n where's good to eat/drink/get leathered? for once i wont have to be driving anywhere so i can actually have a drink. hallelujah

This will be more or less useless info but as you asked... I went with me dad on one of those weekend ferry trips to Bruges many, many years ago. Don't really remember much of it other than being so excited at actually travelling somewhere I didn't sleep the whole weekend, I was allowed Cornish Pasty and chips for breakfast on the ferry and we got to spend all of a coupla hours actually in Bruges and a a hell of a lotta time looking out the ferry window at drizzle either side of it. Was a bit too young for actually doing stuff but do recall coming back with a yacht made of chocolate. Not a full-size one tho :(

Haha, just me. Haven't seen CCF's avatar yet but she'd be forgiven for ripping me off, being much more regular and all that.

I'm very aware, more so now than ever, that everything I've seen and experienced makes me who I am. Puking aside, I fucking love my life. I'd sell my soul to be me.

Eurgh. I stink. Always fuckin' reek when I've been drinking. Think I may go inflict some BO on a hapless shop assistant, buy a beer or two, and finally get around to hitting the PM box. A bath is probably also in order. When you're offended by your own stench it's probably pretty damn offensive :D
