Heroin citric burns

is there any way to make these dissapear double time? i mean they go away in an hour or two normally but say i needed them to go in like two minutes if i had to leave my hitting spot and be around people again straight away? id normally say i caught it on a nettle but i cant really say that if im in an office block when it appears lol

use as little citric as possible. Use just BARLEY enough to get your dope to dissolve. Try adding tiny tiny amounts untill it near fully dissolved then let it sit a minute or two to finish dissolving.

and please tell me your using citric acid and not lemon juice or vinegar.

I assume you're using citric acid to dissolve some black tar? The stuff we get here in the north eastern US, which is a white powder, dissolves completely without any additives or heat

You don't need citric acid to dissolve BTH, you use it for heroin base.

The OP lives, and I quote, in a 'small town in the north of england'. He's 99% certain to be getting base H.

Jeremy, even using the absolute bare minimum of citric you can still get a histamine reaction from the H itself, particularly if you're pushing into a vein too fast for the blood to carry the shot away and you're getting leakage back under the skin or missing the vein for part of the shot completely IME. Try an anti-histamine cream, see if that helps any.

The manufacturing process used I think arrives at the brown base first, conversion to the HCl I think requiring a coupla stages more so I guess it's an easier process for one, and yeah, Heroin became a whole lot more popular in the UK once smokeable base came on to the scene in a big way doing away with the need for needles and 'junky' shit like that, the UK experiencing its first big heroin boom in the early 80s, a second massive boom coming in on the back of the rave scene to some extent in the early 90s.

Why not invest in some pH paper? A tiny little dab of liquid (far less than a drop) will give you a good read on the pH and should help you get the solution neutral. The stuff is cheap and widely available, in many pH ranges. You could even get a buffer solution to zero in on the right pH, but I don't know how good that would be for shooting.

As an aside, what is the ideal pH for IV? Neutral is 7.00, but physiological pH is 7.35 - 7.45.

I noticed that the average age of the heroin user is a lot higher in the UK heroin thread than in the North American heroin thread, so it makes sense that the smokable heroin turned a lot of people onto it.

European brown heroin base from the middle east is made for smoking, not injecting. Hence the need for citric acid to convert the base to a water soluble citrate salt.

Base + Acid = Salt + H20

OP: do you get "citric burns" every time you shoot? I don't think that is normal. I would speak to someone who is used to using citric acid to dissolve their dope, who also uses the IV route.

Good video Tommy. Not just how little citric, but how little heat. Lots of users I've watched cook up seemed to think they had to boil the stuff ruthlessly to get it to dissolve, when in fact it's already starting to dissolve cold. A few seconds with a lighter is often enough to complete the reaction, long before you get to a proper boil.

I think the pH paper is a good idea in principle but a bit overkill. Method in the video is exactly what I'd do: start with a slightly lower amount of citric than I thought it would need, heat gently, then add a few grains at a time and stir some more till it just came clear. Most unlikely to end up with anything too acidic done that way, so long as you take your time and aren't too heavy handed.

^ Yea I really like the video, and good point about how little heat you need to dissolve that heroin (keep in mind that you don't need to heat heroin hcl). I also like how it explains things in layman's terms so you don't need to be a chemist to understand how it works.

yeah good video it seems like im not using too much acid or heat for that matter cause i cook pretty much the same as the woman in the lab except i add acid then water.

i dont get a burn every time just occasionally maybe it depends on how my body is on each day i dunno, sometimes you have to add more acid though to break it all down. i do get a burn everytime i miss a little bit of my hit, if it goes under the skin instead of in the vein but thats rare these days.

sometimes i get no burns for ages then i might get a bad one one day for no apparent reason it must be something to do with my body or the additives in each batch of gear. they dont really hurt its just like brushing your hand on a stinging nettle its just the visual aspect thats the problem because they do look pretty nasty and theyre hard to hide

You should add the water than the citric acid. This way you can tell when you have added just enough for the heroin to dissolve into the solution. The burning may have to do with the cut. When did this start occurring? I am asking because I know that the heroin has been a lot more cut in the UK in the past 16+ months since the drought started.

Do you mean that more acidic pH levels may result in some cuts dissolving that normally wouldn't at a pH of 2.55? That may be the case for some cuts, but I don't know, but it's certainly more of a reason to use as little citric acid as needed.

I've heard of people using vitamin C crystals instead of citric acid as it is a bit more gentle.
