It's true Moppers. I was specially selected because most of EADD already had a problem with me, so the transition to staff was a very easy one. ;)

The skin is so so stretched and tight over the top of it, the abscess is huge, 7 inches from one side to the other, and it looks like there's half a golf ball under my skin. Nasty. There's another one looks like it might forming on my left arm, fingers crossed it's not gonna get infected, I think that one DID benefit from the anti-biotics instead of my thigh.

Off to Hospital now. I'm not coping well without my standard early morning cup of coffee, but I might get a cheeky dose again in bed when i'm waiting to go for surgery.

Good luck :) Abscesses are such fuckers, I have met more than a few women who have told me they can be worse than child birth. Let us know how much better you feel when you get out!

Well at least with an abscess the pus drains out within 48 hours or so. With childbirth, the end product drains you - for the best part of twenty years in most cases.

None of my abscesses have popped themselves, and they've been there for weeks sometimes :( I was thinking, at least at the end of child birth you get a baby - to keep or sell as you please. At the end of an abscess you get a little cup of blood and other nasties.
 
What, they let you take it home? Anyone ever done a CWE or similar to extract any remaining goodness from the muck?
