It should be okay if you give it 24 hours, or til you feel WD. but jeez reusing needles that makes me cringe.
Yeah I have found that if you reuse needles the damage done to your veins is tenfold. Like you can seriously kill your veins or swell the area so bad restricting flow VERY easy by doing this.
Either go to a needle exchange.. I go, they will give you as much or more than what you trade in (you don't need anything your 1st time). I get 70-100 Terumo 29g 1cc pins. They are fucking amazing. I never use one to pierce the skin twice.. if for some reason I miss on the 1st try, I backload into a new pin. It takes 30 seconds and if you do it right you don't even loose a unit of solution. Alternatively you can just squirt your shot back into the cooker/spoon and suck it up with a new pin, but I feel like I loose a few units doing it that way. You can do hella shots and have practically nothing to show for it arms. Just like a little dot. If you reuse pins you do damage, scar, swell, it's terrible. And I am talking like even if you use it like 4 or 5 times, it's REALLY tough on your veins. If you saw my arms youd be surprised how they look after a 30 or 40 shot binge.. they looks like I hit each spot once compared to how my friends arms look. He'll like use 1 pin for a month its so disgusting. You shouldn't have to pushthrough and break the skin, it shoudl just slide in like butter pain free. If you are like straightening bent pins and stuff liek that you also have to be careful of it breaking off inside you (happened to another friend).
Not to mention it is easier to hit your vein with a fresh pin. I have found a dull pin often pushes the vein aside..sometimes you might even think the vein is dead b/c you can't hit it.. but get a new pin and bam.
And if you don't have access to a syringe exchange (there is no id necessary totally anonmyous), then buy your pins. Seriously they are so cheap.. I am not saying buy micron filters which cost you like $3 a shot.. But packs at the pharmacy..theres a pharmacy on every corner LOL. Around here it's 2.99-3.99 depending which pharmacy you pick for a 10 pack. You are only allowed to buy 1 ten pack per transaction at the counter here in NY. In PA you can buy even a 100 box (like $14-20 bucks). I feel that this is vital.. if you are going to spend money on something to reduse your harm do this.
It's not even the cost of a bag for $10 pins.. instead of buying that fancy coffee from Starbucks or big 'ol Gatorade, drink some water and treat your self to syringes. Pharmacies also sell singles but they are a rip off.
Personally, I love being able to hit up the Walgreens by Union Square any time of day for a pack of pins.. and I am not the only one buying, they have the popular sizes literally right at the register b/c people come in all day asking for 29g 1cc pins.
Also, the fact that you missed the shot means the absorbtion rate of the drug into your body was significantly slower, that being say it won't make a huge difference. I would just give it 24 hours from your missed shot to dose your bupe. Damn man I woudl be SOO sad if my last shot before I would have to do my bupe transition was a miss lol. I would probably cry.
