Heroin Cotton filter disintegrating in cooker (One from Q-Tip and one from needlexch)

Hi,

First post, tried searching but found nothing. I've been finding that if my solution i have is too heavy on the down as in more down than water ratio, that whatever filter im using disentegrates in the solution. I remember doing one spoon where i was testing how much the water could hold before coming saturated (reasonable amnt of water of course) and thats when ive had the wprst issue, however I've had it before alot. It's just that when i put the filter (Q-tip this time, other times with Q-tip + small filters from xchange) in with the supersaturated sol'n the filter just falls apart.

Anyone having problems with this? I'm finding that 1cc barrels are not big enough to hold my preferred strength without disentegrating the filter and having it ending up in my rig.

EDIT: I do not take hot hits.

tl;dr filter disintegrating into cooker w/ H and water, is it because of heat or high concentration of H?

You should invest in some micron filters! Much cleaner hits, and you can have the peace of mind that there's no particulate matter in your shot, which there will be with cotton. Since you're using heroin you could even use a bigger size wheel filter which will be cheaper.

I have never heard of this happening. How much water are you using? And why? Are you using tar or powder?
I had an extremely difficult time trying to figure out what the hell you're even asking. Sounds like you're having a rough time cause your filter gets all mushy in your very high water content when prepping your shot? Or...what?

Yes! I don't really understand what you are trying to articulate OP! I have similar questions to this fellow.

-Are you saying that your cotton filter is literally dissolving into your solution?!?! This seems like it would be a very bad sign if that is what your saying.
 
i am using powder. its heroin bought in brick form, and i use a coffee grinder to chop it up. best heroin i can find in vancouver. and yes, when i put my cotton filter into my heroin (in the cooker) the filter itself literally disintegrates. other times it has fallen apart but only a little. each time that this has happened i end up with cotton in my needle when i try to take the hit
 
Are you letting the solution cool before you drop the filter in?

You need to give us all the information you can if we are to attempt to help you. I assume from your location that your heroin is white heroin no.4 and you do not need to add citric acid or the like to break it down?

I must say it is worrying to think what your heroin solution is doing to your veins if it will literally dissolve a filter. My bet would be some nasty cut in the gear, but like I said it is hard to form an opinion from the little information we have.

I found when using heroin that cigarette filters cut into smaller pieces worked better than the cotton from a q-tip.
 
Yes. If your heroin plus water solution is eating your filter..something is wrong. I've never ever heard of this happening. I feel like it could be possible if you left the filter in there for like two hours, but that's just unsafe.
 
Yeah it's like the solution is corrosive or something.

please don't use fiberglass cigarette filters. Cotton is bad enough. Micron filters people!
 
yes, it is number 4 heroin as i live in vancouver. to make more sense of the first post when i say "down" i am referring to heroin. And yes I allow the solution to cool, as i said in my first post I do not take hot hits.

I have found that if I am using alot more heroin than water that the filter falls apart faster and more aggressively. Meaning, when i get a small amount of water super hot so it will absorb as much heroin as it possibly can (I allow the solution more time to cool in these scenarios)

also not using and never have used cigarette filters - only cotton filters from the needle xchange and from q-tips. I'm going to give these micron filters a try - it will most likely solve my problem and give cleaner hits too. thanks for the advice tri
 
You don't need to add heat to heroin, as it is VERY soluble in COLD water. You're not getting more heroin in your shot, but more cuts, fillers, and adulterants. Probably including the thing that's eating your cotton.

micron filters are your new best friend, get to know them!
