I've never fished, well apart from at fair grounds when I was a kid and you used to get goldfish...wonder if they've stopped that now-a-days due to cruelty

I quite fancy trying fly fishing - the body wellies look well cool %) looks tricky mind.
At Pitlochry you can watch salmon swimming up the ladder - there's this observation window bit, they're sturdy buggers!
Haha, I got a nice set of chest waders for bass fishing off the shore or in the estuaries, turn my missis right on they don't
Fly fishings alright, bit of a knack, but i prefer sea fishing, off boats for biggies, off the shore or rocks for a nice chilled afternoon/ evening/dawn/overnighter, depending on the season, spend some time relaxing, few beers and spliffs, and a few nice fishies too....We get the cod and ling and big big bass and pollack and rays , gurnard and whiting too off the boat, but off the shore we get bass up to about 3lbs most seasons, the occasional 5lber if we're lucky, that's a nice fat bass....and plenty mackerel, all the other species too, but much smaller than we get when we go out on the boat.
we get a fair few salmon and sea trout running up the rivers down here, should be on their way up next month, I have to admit i've only caught them, errr, covertly, and I don't do that any more as i realise it's a bit naughty...good to eat though, puts any farmed salmon, organic or not, to shame.
Arrrgh, been a while, got to sort me fishing shed out and get everything oiled and sorted ready for the season....really excited this year as me son will be coming out much much more, he started to enjoy it last year, he turned 5 in spring, and this year he's ready for a dawn trip and I'm gonna go down the beach with him for an overnighter.
This was me son catching his first fish, he was only 3, well proud, used to take him for about 45 mins at a time so he wouldn't get bored....
