Slow onset of psychedelic drugs

the longest onset i have had untill now was from an oral dose of 2cp
from what i have read DOx's have a very long onset

DOx drugs have a pretty long onset without too much body load. I really like the onset of LSD.. it's just a joyful ride of anticipation and happiness.

The problem with the slow-onset phens (2C-P, DOx) is that they all have incredibly long plateaus as well.

May we ask why you want a slow onset? IMO long come-ups are not always pleasant and can end up with something unexpected changing the planned timeline of the trip. That is to say, if you try to get "around" the slow onset by dosing 2 hours before work's over, somehow the universe will conspire to keep you at work an extra three hours so you end up peaking whilst trying to operate the xerox machine and spook yourself in the empty halls ;)

I'd agree. Comeups for me are always the most physically unpleasant part of the trip.

Id rather go from 0 to peak pretty fast buzz a cpl of hours then be str8 again
Also id like a cancle button uf I change my mind

DOx, aMT, bromo dragonfly, ibogaine and a few others all have long come ups. I dont know why you would want to experience the most uncomftorable part for a long time

DOC (taken orally) is a funny one. For about 2 to 2 and a half hours, very little seems to be happening (short of a mild mood lift and generic stimulation), then bang, it suddenly lurches up in intensity over just a few minutes then levels for a bit before lurching up again. The rise to the peak follows this pattern undergoing several of these jumps before leveling out at the peak. Insufflation compresses the come-up sequence into about 40-60 minutes (with a very short latency period of < 60-90 seconds), but the strengthening of intensity is far more linear.

from the ones i have tried so far, i would say oral aMT, followed eaten LSD. now in regards to the gentleness of each... thats really up in the air. first time i took amt i had 3h of comeup that was just nausea and dizzyness with a smattering of confusion. nowaways i get a gentle ride up fro 2 h. lsd is shorter but a lot more energetic and fun and far less nauseating.
but i havent had the pleasure (or time or courage) to go for doxes or ibogaine

Thanks for your replies guys. Only reason I ask is because I've yet to try a psychedelic per se - and the idea of the effects coming on sharply and in a frightening manner scares me more than the idea of it coming on gradually so I have time to get used to the weirdness. But on the collective advice here I think I should drop that notion lol.

+1 for the cancel button. :D

Have you looked into cacti? That's what I am looking into and I've yet to experience a psychedelic as well.

I like the way DOC creeps on slowly letting pre-trip anxiety melt away. And it's a long ride too.

Although if you have little experience with psychedelics, I wouldn't necessarily recommend a DOx substance. They can be very intense and last quite a long time, which is something you may not be ready for.

i think you re better off looking for a shorter and milder psychedelic, or using another at a low dose. that way you can get used to the effects and there less chance of feeling overwhelmed.
really, a long comeup has the disadvantage that you might be thinking when will this comeup stop? and also long trips can be tiring in many ways

I personally love the come up period of LSD. I usually start feeling it within 20 - 25 minutes, and it's in effect within an hour of the initial dose. Doesn't last an overwhelming amount of time, a few hours, than followed by the wonderful afterglow. Hence why I prefer dosing in the morning, lasts all day! No need to worry about falling asleep while tripping.
