people have been having sex for more than just procreation for thousands of years. sure it is the initial purpose of the act, but countless generations have done it for pleasure. instinctual development is influenced after just one generation, this can be seen from the obese children of those who had starved in for some reason or another (generally war). i don't think it is as simple as crossed wiring of fetishism.

Why are there some places where there are more gays and some that aren't

comparing the [gay + still in the closet] versus [non gay] population should give a much more homogenous map of the world

I don't think anyone is born into anything, personally

i live in a society where kids can openly express their preferences and i'm confident that some of them are "born into it"

Yikes. The desire to procreate isn't instinctual in my books! The desire to have sex, however, is. Having sex usually leads to procreation when it's with the opposite sex.

I still say gayness is partially to do with population control. Or God. Either one is very deep to imagine.
