[MEGA]Idiosyncratic/Unusual Responses to Cannabis

cheers for the response and recommendation man, looks like a good value vaporizer and seriously considering one next payday if I can not feel awful in the morning.

Has yours been lasting well?

Christ, this whole ignorant clusterfuck wouldn't be complete without a bit of Rick Simpson. The man is a charlatan, don't believe his claptrap.

The vaporizer will make your lung issues go away! They are super nice.

And as for feeling sick in the morning, thats kinda odd. I too tend to be a heavy smoker at night, prolly wayy too much so. But for me, in the morning, i feel kinda sick when i DONT smoke. I usually have to take a few hits from a bowl to settle my tummy in the morning. Im actually working on cutting back at night, and trying to bring my tolerance down.

Sounds like I've been taking the mornings all wrong, might start pre-grinding every night so I can pack a cone first thing before looking into that vapo.

Ok so this started 2 or 3 weeks ago and I'm getting nervous I am 20 years old and I'm pretty sure i do not have lung cancer or heart problems but now every time I get extremely stoned I have to deal with all of this and it is pretty scary!
I have begun experiencing weird feeling, thoughts, and pain.

- My shoulders and sides of neck ache and feel weighed down.

- My left arm feels weak and weighed down.

- My feet and hands go into cold sweats

- I will get muscle spasms in arms, legs, and middle of chest.

- My chest will feel under pressure, sometimes a little ache.

- Feels hard to breathe, even though I can breathe fine.

- The way I look around is even more dizzier and makes me kind of sick.

I had a panic attack as well and it is something i do not want to go through again.
THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I GET STONED! CAN'T ENJOY SMOKING ANYMORE

These are pretty classic symptoms of anxiety (obviously the panic is, but so are the rest - anxiety often manifests more as physical symptoms than it does as "feeling nervous"). You mentioned this started 2-3 weeks ago. Did something happen to you about 3 weeks ago, or shortly before then, that was traumatic, disturbing, upsetting, stressful, etc.? E.g. moving to a different city, breaking up with a partner, having a bad run-in with your boss, having a bad trip on psychedelics, etc.? It may be that when you're sober your brain is quite able to control anxious impulses arising either from some specific recent event or from the general stresses of life, your neurochemistry, etc., but that when you smoke weed, you disrupt the ability of your brain to do that. When this happened many years ago after a bad LSD trip and moving out of parents' home on the same weekend, 3 months break from weed was required, but was then enjoyable after being carefully and gradually re-introduced. However, if you are susceptible to developing an anxiety or depressive disorder (check your family history) this may be a sign that it's time for weed to exit your life, at least for a while.

I've smoked a lot of strains of marijauna, indica and sativa. Almost everytime I smoke I notice that I create very odd scenarios of the situation I am in. For example, I could be sitting in the back seat and my buddy could be driving. Then I would put myself in the drivers seat and imagine myself crashing or doing something extremely wrong. I also tend to think about what to say before I say it, then when I actually say it it always seems to come out stupid and I become self-conscious and everyone is going to think I am an idiot.

This effect is of course stronger if I had smoked sativa rather than indica. Sometimes i'll come home high and think my parents will find out that I am high, but my parents have never even thought I was high. Yet I can go home drunk, thinking I can just play it off cool and they almost always find out that I am drunk. If I drink, then smoke, I feel much better than if I had just done one or the other. Alcohol gives me the relaxing side, but makes me feel nauseated after a while, marijuana gives me euphoria and eases the nausea.

I do have some social anxiety, at times it can be nonexistent and other times it can be quite debilitating. Is it that my mind cannot handle a different form of consciousness, so It'd be a nightmare for me to do other psychedelics, hallucinogens or dissosciatives Or could I possibly have a good time on other drugs like that? If I wanted to experiment with hallucinogens, what would be one to start out with before LSD?

The lsd on the other hand makes your brain bleed, that's how people "trip". I could see that givin you problems.
Dude, you did *not* read this in a medical book, not one from this planet anyway lol. I love urban acid legends though, thanks for the lulz.

Umm...I cant help but notice you say your pretty sure you have lung cancer? Is that just an exaggeration of you having a bad cough? Orrrrr.....what the hell makes you think that?

Other wise it does sound like classic anxiety. And heres the real problem with anxiety: The more you sit and thing about all those problems everytime you get high, the more your gonna notice other little problems all the sudden. A lot of time one bad experience with a drug, or one panic attack while your stoned will cause you to have anxiety before you actually get high. Try to clear you mind and remind yourself that its very likely just in your head.

To the people who complain about "weed-sickness" in the morning: I'm pretty sure they're some kind of acute withdrawal symptoms, some people are just more sensitive to these. I mean it's almost sort of obvious isn't it? You smoke a massive amount of cannabinoids right before falling asleep, wake up feeling the exact opposite effects of cannabis high and smoking more makes the bad feelings go away. I'm totally guessing here, but from personal experience I believe that sleeping rapidly clears cannabinoids from your brain or perhaps makes body metabolize cannabinoids faster.

As for the longetivity of vaporizers, I bought my volcano around 4 years ago, it came with a 3-year warranty but I never had to use it and the thing is working just fine, albeit I've lost a screw or two from the case over these years but it has no effect on how it functions. Except that it's a bit louder now that the case has less screws to prevent rattling.

Is this a normal side effect?

While I enjoy smoking, I keep getting this annoying side effect the last few times I lit up. Right around 45 or so minutes after I smoke I start to feel the 'come down'. But it doesn't feel like a normal come down, rather more intense and much more tiredness then use to be.

sounds like the weed is ass....the better tree i smoke the smoother the crash is...i havent felt burntout in like 2 years since i found that california connect....but as for advice...take a break...try again...and if it keeps happening then my friend i am sincerely sorry you cannot enjoy Gods herb

Do you smoke the same type/strain all the time, smoke a lot of pot daily, or have a very large tolerance? Is your herb old, or do you smoke pot that has a low THC content but a high CBD content? Or are you just getting tired 45 mins after you smoke?

I'd find better herb, or take a tolerance break.

how would the ratio of THC to CBD content effect the come down? i understand a bit about how these levels effect the high, but had never considered the, i guess obvious fact, that these levels would effect the comedown -

thanks smarty pants BLers!
