Memory Erasure

may i ask why you need to erase memories?
this question seems a little suspect imo

You can impair memory severely with certain drugs. However it wont remove long term memory only short term.

IME the only way to possibly damage your long term memory in a medical setting is with Electro-convulsive therapy - Shock treatment.

However it is only in rare cases that this occurs and it can come back.

Not sure if you're actually talking about erasing already created memories or causing amnesia..
But loss of memory can result from brain injury or some neurological disorders. Never heard of a drug that causes a loss of memory though.

If you are talking about causing amnesia, there are the benzodiazepines, alcohol, anticholinergics, etc.

EDIT: Also, yes. I would like to know why this question was asked.

I would just google it since it doesn't seem to be a HR question.

I presume that it would be in the interest of banishing PTSD.

As tommy stated there is no HR value in this and I can't see it going anywhere.
