The Bible prophesised that Jews would reject Jesus but Gentiles (non-Jews) would accept him.
"And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the ends of the earth." - Isaiah 49:6
"Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen one, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles." - Isaiah 42:1
"And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for a banner to the people; to him shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious." - Isaiah 11:10
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." - Isaiah 9:6
