Question for the tincture users. How long do you guys hold the dose in your mouth? And do you use alcohol or glycerin?
Bumping my question.
CH, do you have any input?

You are making my mouth water Captain H!!! Especially since I haven't eaten breakfast yet!
I don't have access to hubby bars, but I have seen many pictures and reviews of them and damn they look delicious!!!
I heard that it's pretty hard to stop eating one when you begun because of the flavor, I don't doubt that !
I'd love to try a milk chocolate bar or the peanut butter crunch. Ship me some haha!

* If a mod reads this post and feels there is a better title for this thread please change it... Thank you.
Edit* Thought I should mention that I can smoke all day long without any anxiety at all.
So, lately I have gotten back into making cannabis infused hot chocolate which is pretty easy to make. 2 days ago I made one batch with a gram of skunk #1, and then made another batch an hour later with a gram of Critical + which is big bud x skunk (C+ is stronger than you would think). I decarboxylate the inactive thc into the active form by throwing it in my Extreme Q vaporizer at 300 degrees F. for 5-7 minutes, empty it into microwave safe cup, cover with hershey's syrup, add 6 oz. whole milk, and microwave for two minutes opening it to stir ( if you try this make sure you watch the cup in the microwave or the milk will boil out of the cup all over your microwave).
Now to the reason for my post: How do you deal with the come up?
I swear that if you make this hot chocolate correctly with an appropriate amount of cannabis related to your tolerance you WILL experience a come up exactly like you would with a high dose of acid or shrooms.
I know some people will attempt to say just don't consume so much, but the reality for me is that the high this ROA provides is worth every ounce of discomfort incurred during the come up. It really is a mental battle for me because it feels like my heart is pumping like crazy, high levels of anxiety, some stomach discomfort, but the high that sets in once you plateau is amazing and something everybody who enjoys cannabis should experience at least once (to me it is almost spiritual).
Some things I do to deal with this are: hot shower: works sometimes but other times the symptoms are so strong that I can't even focus on the water hitting my face long enough to forget about, Benzos: works great but I feel they dull the trip/clarity I feel from the cannabis, Deep breathing/meditation: works at lower doses but doesn't touch the anxiety related to high doses, and telling myself I am just fucking high (or about to be): works at lower doses doesn't touch anxiety related to high doses.
So, for those who have experimented with high doses and dealt with the anxiety related to them: How do you cope?
Wait till you're stoned..... seriously???! Or valiums?
a way to deal with the come up that doesn't dull the effects
Ollo everybody.
I am wanting to make some brownies because I want some edibles and can't stand the taste of the plant matter in firecrackers. Last time I made them I threw up everywhere (partly psychosomatic) and threw out a good gram of weed on the firecracker that I couldn't eat. So I am hoping that using cannabutter in baking will disguise the taste.
Unfortunately times, they are a little bit hard and all I have available is 2g of really, really potent shit. My question is: would using this in brownies be a waste since the dose is so low? I am a pretty big guy and from experience need a fair dose of the ganj to get high. Usually I put about a gram of medium grade stuff into my firecrackers. So the way I figure it and equivalent dose would be half the pan of brownies! But then again the stuff I have is far stronger than what I usually use so maybe a quarter of the pan of brownies? Which works out to be about 4 of them.
Anyway, I want a good, long session of being baked, not just a little buzz. I realise that it is incredibly difficult to judge dosing over the internet but if anyone has heard of sub 7g doses in a batch of edibles or has tried it could you let me know please?
Awww sorry FreehugsI have no idea. I have never had a tincture. I have SEEN tinctures for sale in dispensaries, but I was advised it was a poor deal. And knowing where I saw it for sale, I believed the person who told me.
I'm hoping Chainer will have some tincture experience. He seems to know a lot of specialty cannabinoid information. I have a friend who might know, I'll page him and wait for him to show up.
Thanks for bumping your question though freehugs; I want to know more about tinctures myself.![]()
It really is! :D Once you start you just don't want to stop. My advice is to split a whole bar with a friend 50/50 so you each eat it at the same speed.
I actually thought Peanut Butter Crunch was pretty good! Why don't you move out to California?![]()
I'd love to but I really want my degree to become an accountant and then start my own business (maybe then I would move to cali to start a cannabis related business) and do the accountancy myself, and have a plan b in case my business fails. Since university is 5000$ maximum with books included a semester, I want to stay here... I think college in united states is pretty expensive. And the law seems worst too, about things like making BHO or having your own garden. I mean, who really wants to grow just 6 mature plants hehe %)
Plus i'm not even going to be able to visit some dispensaries as i'm only 19![]()
It's definitely a place I wish to visit though! Seems like a lovely place to live, especially after it snowed 20 cm here last night!
Found an edible question at the same time so I wouldn't be such off topic :
How would you describe or compare the visuals you get from a good edible?
Do you compare it to shrooms where things around you will move in a pattern, or like LSD which I haven't tried?
I've only had one potent experience with edibles where my body was pretty "slowed" and laughter was there, but I couldn't remember if I had visuals.
Would you agree that they are better to be used for reliving physical pain?
Just made my first firecracker (followed the directions of the OP exactly, so it should work!) with .6 of high grade weed.
Not wanting to leave my house with that cooked weed odor from the pre-bake, I thought of a great idea! I am going to cook some of this real galicy frozen toast shit in the oven to try and cover up the smell. This toast makes the place stiiiiiink whenever I cook it. All you can smell is that garlic for hours
I've seen so many posts in numerous threads of people considering skipping the decarboxylation step. From what I've read about the decarboxylation process, I beleive skipping this step to be a waste of taking the time out to make your weed edible in the first place.
