I was wondering why my sister was asking me if I wanted pancakes, thought she was just randomly making them.
 
After reading and hearing so much about pancakes today I am off them.

Not long until easter now :D
 
A couple of pollen pipes for me...

folllowed by a pancake binge with the kids when the munchies hit....a couple of savoury cheese and spinach ones followed by combinations of ice cream, lemon and sugar, bananas and melted Galaxy.....mmmmm

Would one of you lovely people send me some pancakes, I can't be bothered to move, plus I might fall into the cooker or something, pretty wobbly from my pregabalin, olanzapine and zopiclone combo! No sleep paralysis for me tonight because I have my prescription meds! Yay :)

Sleep paralysis has been a right bitch recently, why is it always so sinister?? :)
 
I hate sleep paralysis. Haven't had it in years but I used to get it regularly for about six years or so. Not nice.

No pancakes for me, fell asleep.. will buy up supplies cheaply tomorrow hehe :)
 
^ I fell asleep too, and woke up missing my usual thrifty ways of obtaining anything to eat without spending a fortune.

I'm off to my local shop to see if they have reduced pancake stuff yet, if not i'll get something else and make them tomorrow when stuffs cheap. My cupboards are bare, I have achieved the purpose of pancake day without the pancakes. Buying the stuff especially just to make pancakes is the same too, however I make pancakes all year around anyway, love em <3

On second thoughts, I'm going to have to do pancakes tomorrow, the communal fire alarm in these flats is as sensitive as a babies bottom, frying will set it off as for some reason they thought it would be fantastic to fit an amazing fire protection system, but no extractor fans in the kitchen, or windows without safety locks.
 
I have a pre-employment assessment for a new job next week. In e-mail inviting me I've been asked to bring along vaccination certificates. The assessment is made by an occupational therapist. This is the only information I was given in the e-mail. Does these type of things normally involve tox screening? Would I have had to be informed if it was? I've been told it is only going to be a very brief meeting so I'm assuming there'll be no examination/screening type things, and its going to be more a case of paperwork/ticking boxes/signing stuff ect. Do you think I'm making a silly assumption? I've never ever been screened for any job in the past, and I've had similar roles. It just crossed my mind earlier, and has been getting me a little paranoid since.

Also, what sort of things do pre-employment drug tests screen for?

Actually, only the second one. First one was cleared up with antibiotics.

I would imagine that you would have been told if it was to involve a drugs test. You could always reply to the email and explain that you are a little sensitive to needles, and would like to know exactly what the assessment involves. Would give you a few days of peace so you can concentrate on preparing for the job, rather than worrying about something that might not even happen. Or, keeping off drugs if it does require a screen ;)

No mescaline pancakes were had. None of either. Was never planning on combining them hehe.. well, not in the same moutful. What a let down for a Tuesday night :( ;)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'll likely call in the morning and see if I can get any extra info, but I think like you say they would be obliged to tell/warn me if it was going to be anything like a drugs test.

Yes please! Didn't get the stuff tonight, and I betcha every supermarket will have the stuff reduced tomorrow.

I just went to the shop to get something for a late dinner, took me ages to decide as everything I picked up my head said 'This is 60p cheaper in a supermarket tomorrow'. I've settled for a Veggie Chilli wrap, bought myself a treat and got some Scrumpy too as I've had a productive day and I've not drank since Saturday, which is in keeping with my new giving my liver a few days off once in a while schedule. Won't drink until the weekend after tonight, or so is the aim!
