do you believe its safer to snort drugs such as meth, mdma or any other substance? i have been a moderation drug user and i never experienced any health problem or mood changes. is there a difference if you take drugs orally or snort or its all the same? i can give an example. if someone just snorts meth he will not get meth mouth?

Oh, he'll still get meth mouth.

Different drugs are different for this question. Snorting oxycodone, for example, is actually less effective than using it orally. On the other hand, orally using cocaine is basically nothing compared to snorting cocaine.

Like NeighbourhoodThreat said, it really depends.

I think if your speaking generally, than yes, sniffing is safer than IV, but it's still more dangerous than PO.

With a drug like heroin, insufflation is safer than IV, smoking safer than insufflation, and PO safer than smoking (but hardly anyone swallows heron willingly, sort of defeats the purpose.)

I'm going to move this over to BDD, as it's a question regarding harm reduction...

Safer and more effective are different questions, the OP asked which was safer between oral and snorting IMO oral all the way, whether or not that's the best way to take a particular substance is a different matter all together

The only 'safe' way to take any drug that is 'intended' to be taken by mouth, is to take it by mouth.. Doh.. No kidding! 8)

But as said above, I'd say that taking orally would be the safest, followed by plugged, then nasal, and obviously using anything IV is just not safe at all.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but pretty much no drug is safe to snort long term as it eventually causes necrosis of the intranasal structures and soft palate. In other words, the cartilage bridge between your two nostrils rots away. But hey, you could do that stick-your-finger-in-one-nostril-and-out-the-other thing.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is "PO" in terms of ROA? Oral administration?

Anyway, the safest use for drugs is to hand them over to someone else. ;) :p

Ah, didn't go to a private school, so never had the option to learn a dead language.. :p We actually only had 3 crap options (so I chose French).

My brain equates PO w/ "previous owner" haha. :)

Sorry for being a car guy and not a criminal. ;)

I'm kidding of course - I'm both by all standards. :D :p
