Escitalopram 10mg, daily.. been on em for a week for mild anxiety but Im still deciding whether I want to take them or not... TBH, even though I asked for medication for it, I dont believe my anxiety is severe enough to be on anti-depressants for the next 6-12 months....

plus the fuckn side effects 8)
 
How much is the mild anxiety impacting on what you want to do in day-to-day life pisspot? Might be worth staying on it for a bit longer, side effects will settle down and it might help.

On the other hand if you think it's mild enough to not warrant any medication, I'd personally stop taking them ASAP :P Can't stand anti-depressants.

I'd give it a week, but as others have said it's not some fixed amount of time.
 
the sooner you stop, the less likely side effects will be. not to be taken lightly in my experience.

edit- i meant to say "withdrawal symptoms" not "side effects". ssri WDs are not cool - so it's probably best to make your mind up to take them/stop taking them sooner rather than later.

never had any lucky with SSRI's or anti-D infact.I find that valium or oxazepam for mild anxity or pannic attacks like what im on now work great.maybe you should talk to you doctor about epilim its not a anti-D but its used to stop people from having serziers and also anxity and other things.Thats what im ment to be taking 2 times a day for social anxity and pannic attacks but at the moment im just using the oxazepam to help with my anxity and pannic attacks,in the past i have had VERY bad results with all sorts of anti-D's or anti-P's endep n zoloft being the worst

I was getting some brown stuff similar to that a few months ago jskum.

Different sources since have been pure white powder( not v good)

Also a off white colour which seems to do the job at about ~160mg.

What do people usually have as their starting dose?

i do usaully like 150mg for first dose and then dont re-dose it, only do it every 2months

80mg usually does some ppl

well most people have like 120-140 and roll HARD,a mate of mine had 150mg of it at a festival in perth not long ago n it was too much for him he ended up laying down next to the fence (again) for a few hours then went back to the hotel early,then me and another BL'er took a 120mg cap each but it was too late by the end of the festival my cap kicked in HARD n i ended up throwing up heaps as we were walking around outside of the festival in front of a fuck load of people.The BL'er ended up throwing up too but yeah we went back to the hotle room n snorted some K.BL'er ended up goin to bed cos he had work the next day but me n a mate sat out on th balcony smoking bongs n watching the city n the stars it was fucking amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggg.....sorry if im rambeling i've had loooooots of benzos n havnt slept yet...PLUR

i mixed some 150mg brown with 150mg imported when it was around and uh.. i like was gone, couldn't control it at all, sort of started getting worried cuz i was just laying there all my body was moving at once and i was just going woah................................. legs just going, eyes wobbling like crazy, couldn't rly see.. after that i never do over 250mg in a night, uusally just leave it at 150mg and call it a night after i come down.
