im not sure if this is where i should of posted this but im new to this. so i just want to hear some people from expierence on how to stay clean from opiates and how to do it. i havent be clean for more than 2 days ever in the last 3 years. it just seems so depressing the first day i don't take anything besides the suboxone. suboxone is like the miracle drug for people who get sick but every time i take it i feel like im missing out. i cant afford going to rehab and i need someone to talk to i just dont know who. so no harsh comments please, im just looking for help and advice. thanks.

When you stop your gonna have to face being sick, theres no way out no matter what you take for it. Just be ready to feel shitty for a day or 2 and you should be ok. I know how you feel man like when I was prescribed subs I would always feel like i was missing out when i took them.

You can talk to me any time, right now even, hit me up.

I'm trying for my first real withdrawal since i started using. Currently on day 2, i feel like death but somehow still have the resolve to keep going. I think my habit was much lesser than yours and I still want to use recreationally once i have completely withdrawn, but it's hard, convincing yourself each day to carry on when you can make it so easy just by taking the pills... but have strength, it'll be worth it.

yea i am contemplating quitting dope completely as well as i have hit _my_ rock bottom. it's hard and i wish it never had to end nor for it to change everything in my life but it did :(

once you quit you will feel sooooo much better. real talk. the 1 week i was fully clean, after my detox, was the happiest time of my life, however i still went back, and harder and i dont know why.

so this time i am going to a clinic, but i am scared and dont know where to go or what to do or how to go about it. just need answers to find out for myself.

as a fellow fighter in the war against opiates...you can always talk to me, hit me up any time.

you just basically have to face it, w/d is awful no doubt....god forbid its oxycodone or hydromorphone due to the glitchy come off since they are simulated by humans....vs the organic properties of heroin. but i just kicked man mades.

i feel better, i get to be myself again, i am depressed but happy due to knowing that somewhere through all the illness that it will be worth it in the end.

at least your not addicted to alprazolam for ten years. dope withdrawal won't kill you.

Well, lots of us to talk to, hope you're listening. I wish you well jsum and madog, and others, its a long, tough journey, but worth doing. Whitney's legacy demands it. I am currently tapering, made it 18 days until today. I'm going to accept relapse as part of the process, and continue on stronger from here.

That's what I thought. We'll see how it fares in OD for now.

yea i think its best suited for TDS but ill throw my comment in.

to the OP:

opiate addiction often takes a persons confidence and self esteem. i know where you are coming from as i often consider myself alone in my struggle with addiction. I am also the type of person who is to stubborn to out right ask for help.

quitting opiates, when motivated, is actually quite easy IME. the hard part is STAYING clean. to kick your habit i would seclude myself away from any type of triggers or stress. stay in your house, turn off you phone and keep it off. it would help to attend a few NA meetings to talk to someone who would understand the situation youre in. i would say you could log onto bluelight to talk to some folks but i do understand that logging onto BL can often be a trigger. suboxone is good for maintenance but if you are not wanting to stay on it i would suggest getting a few 8mg pills and tapering yourself off.

If you are truly motivated to quit and stay off of dope your best bet would be to get some suboxone, seclude yourself for a few days while you taper and attend some NA meeting in yoru area for support. once you're done with the taper you will find that your mood and overall feelings about everything will be much more positive and your thinking will be much clearer.

i hope this helps and good luck to you

i can defently relate to your post , we are both more or less in the same both here .
for a couple of years im a opiate addicte , countless times in the past i got my self down the drug , but always relapst back again .
the longest i could keep my self on the the right path - was around six weeks .
oxys ruined my life - and i want them back , but it seem using the word "want" isnt enough anymore .
i could tell you that in the last couple of years i did tried to get clean - and i gave not less than 15 attempts .
i did try : could turky , going throw treatment with a addiction specalist , changeing life style , useing every single bit of the wil power i got left with .
relayed on emotial support from family and friends - but yet i did fail all those time and kept useing .

never used`suboxne i heared many opinions on it , some are "pro" and some are not . i will defently concider it as an opition the next time i could gather eenough strainget do get my self togther .
i will love to hear some rehab - storys from ppl that have been in one . i know that in my state , external help is essencial , but i get so scared with the
idea of administrating myself to a closed`\ stirict \ social program , i never seemed to fit myself into closed and controlive structure ( on top of that i all ways suffered in them up to a point i was kicked out or out i went and ran for my life ) .
i would gladly assist you by giving out some good advices about how to kick the damn habit - but not today , i still need to figure out what those "good
advices " are . up until then we could keep eace other up with some mutal support , you are welcome to contact me by email [email protected]
for a closure i will wish you what i wish my self - to find the right way and enough streanth on you mission to retrive yourself what was taken away from
by the abuse . GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE PPL WHO WANTS THEIR LIFES BACK

Ibogaine is a psychedelic root that will make you trip for 24 hours and then all your withdrawal symptoms vanish. It's illegal in the United States, but if you somehow come across it then take it with extreme caution. Don't use any opiates while under the influence because it could be fatal. Good luck, trooper.
