I meant that, prior to this roflcoptr bollocks, I couldn't imagine may young people wanting to take MXE as it's about as far from Meph or any other generic stimulant you can get. Our friend Russ could have picked any assortment of random letters to guarantee unique hits on google, but choosing roflcoptr speaks to a certain generation in particular, a generation that otherwise would probably be avoiding using this.

To be honest when I was 15-18 the only drug I cared about other than weed was LSD and other psychedelics / deleriants. Stims held no interest. If MXE was available to me then I am sure I'd have wanted to try it! But I had my shit together sufficiently that I would have know about it before MixMag did an article and I'd have know it as Methoxetamine. I.e. I would have been on bluelight had it been around in the 80s.

In other words, I can't understand kids these days; but I didn't really understand them in those days either! ;)

Mixmag and Global Drug Survey are separate organisations. Mixmag promotes and has in the past cobranded the survey, because it is always printed in their magazine. Mixmag itself does not have access to the survey data - they would not be able to mine the data for stories, for example. Adam Winstock heads up Global Drug Survey: he chooses who to promote it to in terms of media. He told me that he avoids media people who have produced sensationalist pieces and only ever uses people who allow him to check the copy prior to publication, but cannot guarantee how the content is reproduced from that point by secondary sources.

I wondered whether the UK has a program similar to Australia's Media Watch. If this incident had happened here, I would definitely be emailing Media Watch and I think they would run with it.
 
Well, we sent hima very polite email explaining the situation, and he ignored it.

Now two people have died from a suspected MXE overdose because they thought they were taking meph. I will be quite upset if this links back to russell.

If anyone else wants to send him a polite email, searching "inky rolfcoptr" brings up some contact details you can use. Even just mailing [email protected] would be good.
 
Just sent him an email explaining how irresponsible I think he has been and how he could possibly be damaging the youth of today who won't understand what they are taking or risking.

As many of you have stated promoting an extremely potent dissociative with a threshold effect in the milligrams is irresponsible in every respect of the phrase. Jesus Christ all I can think about is someone getting the brilliant idea to blow half a gram in one sitting and be all over CNN, NBC etc. I live in the United States and someone please correct me if I am mistaken but I could have sworn that the U.S Federal Analogue Act only applies to substances in DEA schedule I and II. Ketamine is a schedule III drug if I am not mistaken. I am not one hundred percent familiar with the sometimes arbitrary scheduling of drugs in this country i.e GHB is in schedule one but Xyrem (pharmaceutical GHB) is in schedule III. Go fucking figure. Point being that as soon as there is a documented fatality from MXE, the DEA will have it emergency scheduled in a heartbeat, just like Mephedrone :( And thanks to individual irresponsibility and crude, loathesome advertising techniques MXE will be just a memory. Fucking sad it is a fantastic drug when used properly. I wish I could take this up with the FDA or someone in a position to address this problem but the last thing MXE needs is more publicity. Ughhhh there has to be something we can do; this is sincerely crossing so many ethical lines. Sorry for the little tirade things like this just make me livid. At least there is still phenazepam; unless that has become a controlled substance (wouldn't surprise me in the least bit). Everybody keep your fingers crossed that kids have more sense than to utterly abuse this stuff, unlikely though, so I should try and stock up before it is wayy to late.

I'm not a US citizen but this was the impression I was under as well, from reading posts from americans.
 
Yeah I need to do more research into the circus that is the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration. So far all I could find was the information regarding analogues of schedule I and II substances even though they change the law quite frequently by their own authority. For example they still have THC in the form of marijuana classified in schedule I but the pharmacinsaneeutical version marketed as Marinol is scheduled III despite being the same drug. I am almost positive certain drugs are immune from being scheduled as of now i.e MDPV and phenazepam. Even though they tried to argue that since phenazepam is a benzodiazepine it is an analogue of Rohypnol aka Roofies (which was put in schedule I in this goddamn country) but to be an analogue a drug has to be pharmacologically and structurally derived from or chemical similar to said parent compound. Which sure as hell isn't the case since it has to fit both criteria instead of just one i.e being a benzo. Oh fuck according to the Nazi party err.. DEA that would make xanax an analogue of rohypnol too well the law is the law i guess...those fucking hypocrites make me sick. I'll never forgive them for scheduling mephedrone!!! Lol what country are you from neverodd?
 
Oh well. Time to stock up I guess. Shame these few idiots had to ruin it for the many safe users :(

I actually don't mind the prospect of MXE getting banned if it brings an end to this saga.
