Opioids Hydromorphone - How much should I take?

Have you even read the threads I've linked to you yet dude? I understand that you took offense to my "following of the damn rules" but for the love of god my first post still covers everything you need to know and answers the questions you are still asking. I don't want you too miss out on help but I also don't want the group of all others as a whole to miss out on help.

Maybe you should ignore simple perception and take it to ADD for a deeper analysis. I now definitely want others to not miss out on help. You trying to get super high on hydromorphone can do whatever the hell you want.

Id say snort 8mg's and go from there. You can get plenty high off snorted dilaudid you just won't get the ungodly rush which leaves you looking for more a hour later. Snorted hydromorphone lasts a decent bit and much longer then say IVing it.

For me it feels like a much shorter acting version of morphine with a stronger rush and much less side effects.
 
Wayyy too many risks associated with IV'ing for me, and currently the meds I am prescribed would not be the most enjoyable going up my nose. Also thats just one of the things I promised myself I'd never do. Oral bioavailability of hydromorphone is said to be 30-35% and intranasal about 48-58%.

Well I guess I discovered the drug after I began snorting Opana so that's probably the problem--it was just so much weaker snorted. It didn't last as long either. I was getting them for next to nothing so I can't complain I guess.

It's not a bad opiate, don't get me wrong. I just never thought it compared to OC or oxymorphone.
 
I've had quite a bit of experience with hydromorphone, oral, nasal and IV (started a thread in the Aus section if you want to read it) and to be honest IV Dialuadid is my favourite drug of all time and I would swap 5 oxycodone highs for one hydromorph high anytime. Dilaudid was actually the drug that started me off on the IV route (although I don't condone starting IV and you MUST use a wheel filter if you are ever going to safely mainline these).

Anyway if you're going nasally I'd start at maybe 6mg to be safe and work your way up to 10-12 mg over an hour if need be (with your tolerance in mind).

However knowing that it is so valuable mainlined I'd think if you found an IV user that doesn't have access to dillie you could basically trade it for drug gold (oxycodone is probably your best bang for buck (pharm) if going oral/nasal) or save it for later on in life if you think you would ever consider picking up the needle.
 
As a personal aside, I've only tried IVing once and it was 8 mg of dilaudid b/c of all the hype I read about. I definitely didn't do it right (I didn't even get stoned...) and, aside from being an idiot teenager who didn't know the first thing about harm reduction, I'm kinda glad I failed. My friend recently got hooked on IVing dilaudid---something she described as the best feeling ever. I'm too afraid to toy with the needle

Thanks for the input, I think I will start with 5-6 mg, see how I feel and then go from there... just to be on the safe side. Could you post a link to that thread you started? If you don't mind.

Nice I have never really experienced that much of an opiate rush before. How is the euphoria?
