also Bluebell, leave it in your airing cupboard to dry out, it may still be useable, but dont try to use it until its thoroughly dried out. I was wiping down my kitchen worksurfaces the other week and 'wiped' my phone into a bowl of hot soapy water. took a week to dry out but it's fine again now. your Ipood should be the same. [edit] I've washed USB pens at 40degrees after leaving them in cardi pockets and not one of ems been ruined because of it

i've accidently dropped a few of my old phones down the loo while stumbling around in toilet cubicles before and theyve been ok. ok not meaning sterile mind. they were replaced pretty soonish, honest
 
yeah i've dropped the girlfriends phone many a time, including in a coy carp pond and its still working, your best bet with the nano is to leave it wrapped in tissue inside a warm jacket in an airing cupboard, 99% of the time they will live :)

on another note, sam said earlier hopefully something will ease the pain, well, the gf's parents took us out for a steak (£40 i might add!!) and a few pints and im feeling very warm and full =D
but on another sadder note, the fairies are cunts :( no polleny goodness for moi but this cheese is hitting the spot :)

cool. between you me and kate, with garden sheds n green stuff, we'll bore the socks off everyone come spring summer. eh, well I will. you'll all be getting updates of my strawberries and how many little tomatoes my hanging baskets are producing.

BCF: eh, that's ace news. was gonna suggest that if youve got an asda/tesco nearby to check it out about 7ish and go for some of the yellow label reductions they do around that time. you can come away with all sorts of belly-filling nosh for 10p an item at that time. no pollen reductions or weed specials tho ;p

Haha funny you say that because i live above a tesco's and raid the fuck outta the reduced section on a daily basis! and yeah, no fuckin pollen reductions or weed specials :p

Speaking of trainers/shoes. Check this, just had a swatch under my bed for old trainers. Thinking there must be a few pairs that can be cleaned up & made wearable again instead of spending money I can't afford to get new ones. I didn't realise how many there was!



That's not even all of them, I've got more elsewhere. That's definitely a job for next weekend, got too much shit on this weekend to get in about them so I've just piled them up in a corner for the time being. Most of them will be fine once cleaned. Yas!

Good selection, I had the K-Swiss...es? with reversible tongues in the bottom left for a bit, they must be about eight years old right? Looks like some ZX series action top right. Solid collection.

I was looking for pics of some of my own online (can't be arsed with cameras at the moment) and couldn't find the right ones but turned up these which I'm now horribly drawn to:

(Except for whatever that patterned fabric around the mouth is, I didn't notice that at first, but the maxi stripes definitely do it for me).
 
PC you massive girl, that is too many pair of shoes for anyone but a woman, I have only one main comfy pair that I wear pretty much every day, and one extra smart pair of trainers for smart/casual occasions, a pair of leather shoes for interviews and formal stuff and a pair of astroturf boots for five a side and tennis, oh and an old pair of massive DCs that I never wear anymore
 
that's 5 pairs. and possibly 4 pairs too many for some folk

[edit] just because you have 5 and deem it okay, doesn't make it a benchmark for being okay.

There are no shoes in that picture. I do not own any shoes (or boots). In my opinion it is not enough, I want/need more, I just don't have the cash. Well, I actually have more but I'm not sure where they are, probably got another 5 or so pairs of gutties kicking about somewhere.

Why is it OK for a woman to have lots of footwear?

I've been wearing the Superstars with the blue laces pretty much constantly for the past few months, sometimes wear the Blazers on the top left but I want those daft laces out them, need to find the original white ones. I dug all these out as I'm getting sick of wearing the same pair of Adidas every day. Was hoping to find some Air Max but fuck knows where they're hiding.

LOL. Nope. It was given to me as a kind of joke, it's just sat there ever since as that's where I put it as soon as it was handed to me. You can't see it in the picture but there's even still a wee plastic tag thing on it.


Jancrow - Those Adidas with the fat stripes are quality! The Adidas top left in my pic are Busenitz (ltd edition skate shoes based on the Copa Mundial football boot). Busenitz is a skateboarder I think, I can't remember his first name, I know fuck all about skateboarding/skateboarders, I just liked the trainers :)

I'm far too old for trainers... Although I do have a pair of those adidas ones that look like old football boots. I notice a lot of men of a certain age have those...
