I'm not sure if a Greenlighter is valid for this application, but I found the questions intriguing and thought-provoking enough so I'll give it a shot purely for the sake of interest.

1) Essentially, I feel as though philosophy is the discussion of life issues at its heart (No I don't mean discussion on anything with entertainment value, such as Football - however many people 'devote' their lives to such things). But I suppose it extends to stream of consciousness on controversial matters such as Religion, morality and Ethics. As for spirituality, however, I believe it doesn't extend - but rather transcends morality and ethics. Spirituality isn't necessarily about after-life or tranquillity and meditation, but also the awareness (and, in some cultures: control) of one's minds and exploring the depths of it through the means of tranquillity, drug-use and in-depth studying.
2) The purpose? What else but to discuss spirituality, and answers queries regarding the topic. Philosophy and spirituality is rather diverse, hence a forum devoted to the matter would be appropriate - so long as it ranges from very broad opinions and culturual/ethnic background. Philosophy and spirituality, after all, ultimately vary between who read what and so on.
3) I wouldn't make it a rule, but arrogance shouldn't be tolerated in the forum topics. I can entirely sympathise with those who have their spiritual beliefs seemingly foiled by another one's differing spirituality/philosophical viewpoint, but the same time arrogance can lead to an argumentative behaviour within the forum and narrow topic discussions. I suppose posting diverse yet intriguing spiritual/philosophical documents and quotes on my behalf would resolve this problem to an extent. After all, we want to get the most out of a great opportunity for a great forum.
4) Shoot me down for this one, but Aleister Crowley is my favourite thinker. He was so brave for his time, and his philosophical viewpoints integrate with spirituality quite well once you understand how to comprehend his works.
5) Sorry, I'll have to get back to this one as I have to leave.
6) As above.

Also, sorry if I've offended anybody. I'm not usually open to discussing my spirituality and philosophy to others but I'd love to do so more often if it weren't of any offence.

I'm not offended.

Football is a perfectly reasonable subject to think about & discuss, it's place in our culture makes it worthwhile subject matter sociologically at the least. Perhaps people who read about philosophy are limited to thinking about it in purely "intellectual" abstract ways.
Football serves a purpose in society, personally I am "devoted" to following Sunderland association football club, there are simple reasons for this & I'm happy with those reasons.
Is tribalism a a suitable matter to philosophise about do you think ?

I suppose that is a good point. Perhaps I can't have much of an opinion on it because sports never affected me in a profound or event remotely interesting manner.

a final decision has not been made and the process is taking a little longer than we would hope. if anybody is serious about applying, please submit an application in the next 24 hours for consideration.
