Nervous and not sure about trying MDMA

It's my first post here so bear with me.

I've been reading this forum for a year but today I actually decided to sign up because these questions been on my mind for a long time.

MDMA/Ecstasy

The only 2 drugs I've done in my life are Weed (which I dislike, it makes me oversensitive, paranoid and depressed) and Shrooms. (Love it)

I'd like to try MDMA but I'm having second thoughts. I've actually had dreams about trying MDMA since I really expected much of weed but weed let me down.

I haven't done drugs for 4 months now and I'd like to give MDMA a try. My observations of most people here no offense, are delusional junkies. Sorry that's just an observation not saying everyone is but some really seem like that. I really want an HONEST opinion on how addictive MDMA/Ecstasy can be. Is it something I can do 2 times a year? Is it something I can say no to easily? (like weed and alcohol)

I know pills can contain meth, cocaine and worse and those are really dangerous but let's assume I got pure MDMA or 80-90% MDMA. (I don't really know how it works). I've known 2 people hooked on MDMA. How intense is the feeling? I know next day can be depressive but will I recover from that fast, or even avoid come downs?

I also have ADHD not severe but I do. I tried clicking on MDMA and ADHD link on the site but for some reason page can't be displayed. Is it bad to take MDMA with ADHD?

Also

How often do you do MDMA?
How many times have you done it?
How many times you refused/didn't wanna to take it?

Iv done it near 30 times and have plenty of other drug experience and knowledge. If you want my honest opinion , don't bother with MDMA. It does indeed have pretty much the best magical high you can think of but it comes with a price. It has a lot of false promises, meaning what you think you learned on it will not stick with you 6 months later ( if it does props to you). Anyways there are plenty of other drugs out there that can give you a pleasant high without the high potential for brain damage / rewiring your serotonin system.

Im sure you will get other replies on here from people that will say do it 100% and it will be your best night ever and everything. It's not only the next day that is depressive , these feelings can last for a while. If you read around some people say they are still depressed and anxious months after they dropped MDMA. Why risk it, you could be one of these people who becomes very depressed after. Anyways final note here, if you decide to do it know that if you have clean stuff it is actually a pretty safe drug meaning chances are you won't die. How ever your brain will dislike the days following your experience.

If you plan on using it I'd strongly suggest getting a test kit, or more than just one, but if you only have money for one then go with the Marquis kit, it's the most popular.

Making sure you actually have MDMA is the most important part about taking it.

Get a kit here:
www.dancesafe.org

Personally, I wouldn't use it more than 4 times a year, but it wouldn't be bad to do it just a little more often. Less is more.. The minimum amount of time I've heard being recommended after each roll is a month.

If you get pills you can look them up on this site:
www.pillreports.com

Don't just read the report but read the comments as well.
Even though that site can be helpful, the only way to know for sure is a test kit.

Oh and pills rarely, very rarely, very very rarely, extremely rarely contain cocaine.

From my experience,
You can't really get hooked on mdma in that same sense,

Your experience only diminishes on it the more you take (unless you take huge breaks and supplement well), its not a high you can chase simply by dumping more chemicals down your neck (Well you kind of can, but you'll regret it on the comedown and it will make mdma less effective for you)

The best advice i can think to give you is, you are nervous about trying this, so make sure you are comfortable, with friends and also that your mdma is tested. This will give you piece of mind.

When you start 'coming up' on it, you might and probably will feel a bit anxious, a bit nervous.
This part passes then you are saturated in euphoria,

So i kind of see it as the coming up is the struggle part then the euphoria is your reward.

Don't dose higher than 100mg,
i think 100mg as your first dose would be a good idea,

MDMA is not physically addictive. You'll probably have a high desire to do it again but that comes down to you and you only. I have tons of self control I wait 90 days between rolls. MDMA is magically and if ur responsible it will stay that way.

This

I will add however. That even tho i said i would wait 90 days each time.. I have on average taken it every 40 days last year. Im now only taking it at festivals and plan to keep rolling about 6-8 times a year. However some of these festivals are close so this may come down to twice a month followed by a 3 to 4 month break.. On average this isnt too much and i feel absolutely fine. Never even had a comedown once. But i do know its not a good idea to roll this close together even just sporadicaly.

Im telling you this because i find myself a very responsible user. I dont take any other drugs nor do i drink. Ive also kept the total amount of rolls each year to a safe amount. However the spacing in between is not optimal and i have made compromises with myself even tho i said i wouldnt..

So i never had a comedown and always feel great. No side effects for me so far and im keeping the rolls to a minimum without redosing (this is the most harmfull)

Verdict: Rolling twice a year possible? YES Likely? NO.. In the end its all up to you, but during the honeymoon fase its going to be hard to do. I think i succeeded fairly well tho :D

I would like to add that a healthy diet and regular workouts do seem to be a deciding factor in how well/fast you recover

Thanks all for the answers.

I'm on a healthy diet 24/7 plus going to gym almost 5 times a week so that won't be a problem. I've quit cigarettes cold turkey but the quitting process was slow and I've started again many times before I actually quit. If I compare the cravings of Nicotine to MDMA? I'd assume nicotine craving is stronger but I don't know

I do MDMA now and again. i was doing it once a week every week for months with alcohol. no idea how many times ive done it in total, but its been quite a lot. ive never refused it. i have however, abused it, and ended up with brain zaps etc. Not recommended. beautiful drug none the less,

Check out the directory (in my signature) for myths on MDMA- it is not financially reasonable, nor does it benefit the affects of an MDMA pill to put cocaine (or heroin, or LSD etc) in it. Common adulterants tend to be cheap RC's and chemicals like piperazines (NASTY!!), dxm, and in rarer occasions methamphetamine, 2c's (very fun, but not MDMA), and PMA.

I do MDMA 4-6 x a year

I spent my first 6 months doing it virtually every weekend (bad idea! Wait a month minimum!) because I was not educated, I'd say I've done MDMA close to 50 times.

There are plenty of times where their is an opportunity to roll and I don't I just allow my friends to do it while I massage them, get them light shows etc. It's beautiful. I feel connected to the MDMA experience because it is so powerfully moving and beautiful, I understand what they are experiencing. Saying no to MDMA isn't very hard, but at the same time it's just so amazing you can't compare it to another drug. Psychedelics are as close as it gets, perhaps some similarities with shrooms which you have tried.

Keep in mind, forums like this will always cater to people having issues with a drug. People come here to resolve problems or concerns, so you are seeing what obstacles people encounter in their relationship with MDMA. Certainly, thousands of people try MDMA for the first time each year- they don't all register on Bluelight and come to ED with concerns. It's good to view these forums to see what issues MDMA can cause for people, but keep in mind many MDMA users don't have any rough roads or problems with the chemical that result in needing feedback.

(this is my first post as well so bear with me too :D)

i had my first roll a couple of months ago and have rolled 5 times since (honeymoon is hard to turn down but iv got my 40 day waiting period sorted now, just waiting for the perfect nights) and from my experiences i would agree with the jist of what has been said, test your pills (although that cocaine and heroin stuff is BS unless the dealer wants to lose money), take a safe amount etc but i would definitely recommend it. if you read up in bluelight and other forums on how to safely take it the risk is minimal and i promise you won't be disappointed, i'm not a fan of weed especially either, just sort of get lazier but not in an overly enjoyable way, but mdma is something else. if you approach it intelligently, which you already have by posting here, you can just consider it a life experience, whether you choose to continue dropping or not. just go in with a positive mindset and preferably with mates who are more experienced and if you can a find filthy drum and bass rave (that part is personal preference but wow...just wow) then get involved or alternatively, if you're really apprehensive, just chill with a bunch of close friends, try out some of the things posted on the 'things to do on mdma' sticky, can't find it at the moment for some reason, my first two rolls were alone and it was a very different experience to a rave (although i will now never roll not at a rave again, just so good).

summary: mdma is great as long as you're sensible with dosage/frequency, which is easy to accomplish if you follow these guys' advice, i really think taking it only twice a year is very achievable from the go if you want to and will if anything increase your enjoyment of each roll

(and on a personal note can i just say everyone on BL is awesome and have really helped me have a crazily amazing (and safe) last few months :D)

I've never had cravings for MDMA, I've thought about how FUCKING AMAZING the nights I've had on it were and looked forward to the next night on it, but I easily turn down free MDMA a few times a month.

If addiction is the main thing you worry about, then don't. The only reason people end up doing it every week is because they're reckless and don't think about the consequences, you're clearly aware of the consequences so I don't think that will be a problem.

As for harm reduction, remember to pre and postload and test your shit.

Edit: I did MDMA for the first time on NYE 2010. Then I did it about 10 months later in Octobor and once again in November. Every time I go to a rave (twice a month minimum I'd say) I'm offered some by friends and pretty much every time I turn it down. My rule is once a month maximum and it's really not hard to stick to that rule.

You seem a bit nutty and probably should try MDMA or any drug except those advised by your Dr. and that's my honest opinion.

I did a quarter a gram my first time and loved it, the best drug trip ever, Sadly the next day i did a gram all by myself and it hit me to hard, i started messing with my jaws way to much and eventually my jaw was broken.. I got into a really bad trip because were staring at me. Do a quarter and enjoy! Make sure you are comfortable with people and place around you. If you in rave then even better.

I personally take MDMA about 3 times a year.
I don't find it hard at all to say no to a pill but I know the damage it can do if I abuse the drug.
As for a come down Ive never had one, Ive always felt fine the next day.
Although I love weed and I smoke a fat amount in the morning.
Ive rolled 3 times so far my next time being in a week.
As for not wanting to take a pill haha ;) you'll always want to take it!
But read up on the harm and loosing the magic and you wont want to abuse it :)

IMHO mdma is not physically addictive. Yes you will want to have that experience again, but you will have not a physical need for it.
However, if you have doubts about it, don't.
You can always try it later in life, perhaps at a time of crisis, in which case you might find it helps you resolve personal problems.
