Beuprenorphine,Subutex, Suboxone... it seems, might have an effect on lowering opiate tolerance.
Most people already know that one of the effects of opiate dependecy is that it induces the production in the liver of the enzymes that metabolize (the oxy) so that the (effective)duration of the mediction decreases with time. Its been suggested that the use of subutex can lower tolerance , if one uses it and refrains from their original medication for a while.
But I have seen numerous people report stories simlilar to..."my tolerance skyrocketed when i started on those subs." or " dont start subs unless you have lots of money to waste on your DOC when your tolerance skyrockets".
