There are many topics on this combination, but none pertaining to this question/situation in particular.

At what amounts can this be enjoyable and not-so harmful?

I have a decent history with methylphenidate usage in the past month (7-9 days, total of maybe 500mg), I weigh 145lbs, and, as most do, drink alcohol regularly for many years now.

I just took apart a 36mg Concerta pill and ingested all the useful bits with a beer, and have had one beer since. I feel decent right now. But, I felt much better the other day when I had 4 beers total with 90mg crushed Concerta ingested with the first beer, though.

Methylphenidate on its own really does not much for me even in high doses. Started off therapeutically, then out of desperation, recreationally. Still to mild effect but at least a little something to get use out of this (got a shitload for free).

I'd say for every 20mg oral try to consume one beer of decent alcohol content.

It will make everything smoother, that is for sure. It can make nausea a bitch sometimes drinking and doing methlyphenidate.

Good response, thanks. Nausea wasn't a problem the only other time I tried, but is noted.

I don't have too much experience with methylphenidate, but I love the combination of cocaine or various amphetamines with alcohol. To tell you the truth, when I combine stimulants with alcohol I usually drink far more than I would normally.

Good ass times.

^ agreed. Cocaethylene ftw. And ya, drinking more is understandable, given the increased enjoyment and desire to avoid comedown lmao.

Also to add to my methylphenidate question: How long does people's "buzz" last? I felt it died after about 45 minutes after oral administration. ...Which leads me to the tough decision: More or nah? Its 10pm where I live. Have Valium on hand.

Wait What? Did you just said Methylphenidate taken orally lasts only about 45 minutes for you. Do you have a huge tolerance or something because an oral dose of methyphenidate anywhere from 30mg and up will last me 2 hours minumim.

^ i do have a huge tolerance ya. i have to take a hefty dose of adderall as well just for studying (so not recreationally)

OP: The only way to find out what the appropriate dose is for you, is to start out with allergy-test size doses of both. and then slowly work your way up into your comfort zone. No one but you knows your body, much less so over the internet. Start small and go from there, you REALLY don't want to OD and a) wake up looking like Neo in the matrix when he's "woken up" so to speak, or b) no wake up due to cardiac arrest or some other equally horrible incident.

This is because the stimulant masks the CNS-depressing actions of the alcohol, and further clouds your judgement into thinking that you're less high on the alcohol than you actually are. Drug-masking is a very common way for a user to die. A speedball is the perfect example: Long lasting opiate + quick-acting stimulant - keep getting higher and higher using both, and then the stim wears off and you've got far too much heroin in the body, resulting in an OD.

Be careful folks, mixing is dangerous if not done carefully! Even worse when using things that cloud your judgement more-so.

Haha I love how someone bumps a thread from July to ask a question directed at the OP and the person actually responds

Reading the ADD thread you linked (nice citations :D) it looks like alcohol + methylphenidate probably wouldn't recreate the experience of ingesting ethylphenidate in vivo as only the less active isomer of methylphenidate would undergo the transesterification needed to form the ethyl- version..

Interesting, thanks! :)
