Lisa Lapointe said while some police agencies have been voluntarily handed samples of the suspect pills, they've decided against putting photos online.

"We don't want to give the impression that these are the tablets that are risky, and other tablets are safe," she told reporters.

One criminology expert says now that word is out, the drug lords cooking up the fatal cocktail have likely taken care of the problem anyway.

"It's like a bad batch of coffee, it's not good for business," said Simon Fraser University Prof. Rob Gordon.

"They're not doing it deliberately, something has gone wrong with the formula. I would imagine whoever is behind it has hit a bit of a panic button and has stopped doing it."

I am really having a hard time comprehending this. So they are not going to tell us the colour or stamp?

How does this help ANYONE?

what they are saying is "we dont want to give the impression that some pills are good and others are not"

when this is EXACTLY the case.

Unbelievable that our Canadian police are going to continue to let people take these bad pills instead of telling everyone what the color and stamp is.

How many of these pills were made?
How long will the be in distribution for?
How far will they travel?
And, finally,
How many people are going to die because the cops wouldnt let the media know which E pills could kill them.

They wouldm't even be endorsing another logo, they would just be saying that this particular pill is very very dangerous.

Which brings a whole other issue,

Why is it that our LEA who have knowledge as to what bunk pills are making the rounds and are harming people keeping that knowledge to themselves?
 
the cops are probably withholding the info so they stand a better chance of busting the original distributors.

Wow, this is happening around my area, Kids are ODing on PMA/PMMA. It makes me happy to be out of my raving days, although being a junkie isn't much of an upgrade.
 
It is disgusting the police wont disclose logos and colours tho (of bad batches), they have sometimes here in AUS and other times they come out with bullshit like above and dont or wont disclose that info. We had a run of PMA related pill deaths over here too back a while ago.

Several deaths reported as MDMA-induced in Australia in the mid-1990s are now considered to have been caused by PMA, the users unaware that they were ingesting PMA and not MDMA as they had intended.[12] There have been a number of PMA-induced deaths around the world since then.[13][14]

PMA has been linked to a number of Australian deaths over the years. Six people died in South Australia between September 1995 and January 1996 after taking PMA, either alone or combined with MDMA. All indications are that the users believed they were taking ecstasy containing MDMA alone and did not realise that PMA was present in the tablet they used.

There have also been deaths of young people in both Sydney and Perth after they took what they believed to be ecstasy. All were found to have significant levels of PMA in their bodies.

ya but the original distributors are already gonna be figuring the cops are looking for them.

I dont see how letting the public know what the stamp is can get in the way of there investigation.

Not trying to be an ass. I jsut dont see how the cops could withhold that information.

The pills are still out there, still being sold. They leave a trail of bodies, a trail that can be followed back to the dealers. The dealers give you the supplier. But once it's announced which presses are bad, people stop buying them and bodies stop dropping and the trail goes cold.
 
Most people who use drugs are fucking idiots, if you have enough intelligence to find BL you're probably many IQ points above the rest in most cases.And the person quoted in that article as saying the pma was created because something went worng with the recipe, where the fuck did they get their credentials a box of lucky charms?
