Yesterday was the first time I have done any sort of recreational drug use. I mean, ive tried weed, but nothing else.
I took four percocet pills (5/325) at 10AM.(note: I am 16, 6'3", and 210 pounds) I wont post a whole report, but I felt a little warm, but other people said I felt like I had a high fever. I was at school and the noise was absolutly unberable by 11. Around the same time, my fever went up, and my vision kept crossing. But by 3 I was fine, less the drowsiness. My question is, was the fever(i myself didnt feel that hot. No sweating) and sensitivity to noise due to the 20mg oxycodone or 1300mg APAP? Also, was that a high dose for my first recreational use?

20mg is a perfect starter dose. The fever etc was due to the histamine effect that opiates produce. Next time take an anti-histamine (Benadryl) with it, to combat the histamine effect.

I would argue that 10 mg would be a more appropriate dose, and you should do it in the comfort of your own home, going into relaxed for best results.

Yeah ten mg is a good dose for zero tolerance. A lot of people become overwhelmed the first time they take opiates, because they've dosed a little too high, and get anxious about the nausea, itchiness, and depressed breathing.

I would agree with this statement as well.
I've seen people with no tolerance find even 10mg to be a bit much & started with 5.
Everyone is different perhaps the OP is sensitive to opiates.
Perhaps 20mg may have just been to much of a first time dose for no tolerance.
Regardless taking as little as possible to get high is a good idea.
Especially since that way you won't up your tolerance for no reason & reduce your side effects.

Just follow the advice you've been given & you should have better results.

I appreciate the response. I wasnt nervous at all really. At like 4 hours after I took it, my stomach got a little upset, but it went away with a sip of water. Also, if that was me feeling bad, I wanna try 10mg haha. I mean, it was nice till my ears felt like they were going to pop. If one of you know, how drastic is difference between taking it at school, work, ect. and at home?

Once you become acclimated to the "fucked up" that oxycodone will have you feeling you should be cruising along no matter what's thrown at you. But this is if you're not completely gone and nodding.

That said, buzzing off some opiates is best when you can sit back and enjoy in a comfortable environment, either by yourself or with friends. There's no worries and you can fully appreciate your high more imo.

Ok, so what im gathering from this is that the buzz in peace is better than the fucked up elsewhere. I suppose I did sort of nodd off in my 4th period :/

I couldn't say for sure but I'd say it's likely. I hardly ever use opiates but there have been numerous times when I just wanted get my buzz on in a comfortable environment as opposed to interacting with too many people or being around certain situations.

IME, there's a certain level of intoxication with opiates, especially oxycodone with some weed mixed in, where it's a much better experience while you get away from the world while getting away from the world, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, next time try kicking back with some close friends, smoke a little weed if you're into it to make the high more intense, and enjoy the bliss of just being.

I disagree, I love using opiates because they make me feel much more social and outgoing. I'm a pretty shy person, and have a good degree of anxiety, and heroin always made me feel comfortable in even the most totally fucked up situations (like walking into my recovery group nodding out). Of course it is nice to wake up early in the morning and get you're buzz going, and read the newspaper and what not, but I love being around people when I'm high on dope. In fact it's really the only time I love being around people.

However, it is important to note that a lot of people will overdose when they're getting high in unfamiliar territory. I'm not sure what the exact reason for this is, but it happens with a lot of IV users.

I'd use in a comfortable environment with minimal physical activity. Smaller doses of opiates tend to be more stimulating and larger doses more sedating, but oxycodone is a more stimulating opiate. And remember that opiates are subtle even when they are intense. It might be a little hard to understand, but you will come to understand what I mean.

listen to Alex, using in a comfortable environment is way better. if you use at school or other hectic places, you can lose the buzz or even not notice it because of too much outside stimuli. i don't know what znegative is talking about, but he's probably high on heroin right now anyway do it doesn't matter. good luck bro!

That's crazy i'm the total opposite. I'm non stop when i'm sober, really outgoing and always buzzing about something or other, usually a bit too much, over analyzing everything. Opiates calm me, and make me happy on my own shuts up the noise in my head for a while.

agreed, for someone who hasn't tried it and whose body is opiate-naive in particular. otherwise, 20mg would be appropriate for someone well introduced to it in the past (but not hooked), imo.

What are you talking about? He's probably not high, but even so, what don't you agree with in his post?

If you are referring to him saying that people OD in unfamiliar territory, well that is a well documented phenomenon.
