I would like to point this out as a factual mistake I have not yet seen written anywhere on the internet.

When changing his synthesis from the psfed method which produces methamp of a single chirality (dex). switching to his methylamine synthesis this produces racemic methamp.

Any chemist worth his salt (which walter obviously is) claims it to be just good as his previous batches to the crazy mexican (cant remember his name now). His purity will remain just as high due to his obsession with quality in the chemistry.

d-methamp is much more effective as a recreational drug, with around 3-5 times the potency. Any peer reviewed journal will tell you the same.

Same applies to when they begin producing it by the bucketload. Why stick with the P2P synthesis? psfed isnt illegal in the USA just watched. Any legitimate business could import it especially considering the equipment and network they obviously have.

I believe they addressed this in the first episode of Season 4. Walt has some magic formula that separates the d and l isomers, giving him a pure d-methamphetamine cook with methylamine. Hence, his formula is unique.

This show often diverts from reality in favor of symbolism. There is a deeper reason the meth is blue.
 
Man Breaking Bad is my favorite TV show ever. I've never watched something that really could make me laugh hysterically, cry and want to jump up and scream in excitement all in one series.

The coolest part is in the second to last episode of season three when jessy relapses on meth and is about to face off with the two drug dealers that had the little kid on the bike killed. He's all spun and walking up to them, they're all pulling there guns out, and then Walter drives his car straight into them, gets out and shoots the dealer in the head. I almost had a seizure due to how fucking cool that scene was
 
New member here, and huge Breaking Bad fan! My number one fave, and I am going to be really sad to see it go. At least they know when to go out with a "bang," unlike Weeds which should have gone out when they were on top (IMHO). I can't even speculate what the upcoming season is going to contain! Walter White: will he go out with the cancer catching up or with more of a BANG like poor Gustavus, lol.

Also a HUGE Shameless, American version fan. Is there a thread here on Shameless yet? :)

The way Walt just instinctively and without restraint pops the guy, then looks up at Jesse, simply and emphatically says "Run."

That scene had me shitting bricks, what a way to end and episode. Also, the one where he's grappling for cash in the crawlspace, then the hysterical laughter, then silence, was one hell of an ending too.

They're good at finishing an episode leaving the viewer with an open jaw.

Just finished with the 4th season. Pretty awesome stuff, right up there with the HBO/Showtime crowd, perhaps even better than some.
 
I can see a top 3 TV shows of all time being Breaking Bad, The Wire and Game of Thrones, in no particular order.
