Mixmag - "Methoxetamine = roflcoptr" - *MUST READ*

Wow and I thought I was the jaded cynical old bastard.

Have faith in yourselves, whatever the size of dent you've made.

sorry i just like takin the piss. And the Dad's Army thing just poopped into ma heeed and been making me chuckle to meself..

i do think it's a worthy thing to be doing, Guardian, PCC even....as others have said, i don't think we've really put it up 'em, the err, rolferoo people...

Aye, it's certainly worth doing what we can. I'm just not kidding myself on that this is making a difference to Rolfwanker's business.

The thing is......there is a news story in all of this.....Mixmag must be shitting it more that the bloke running the website, if indeed they are separate entities. There is a definitely a link from vendor to mainstream journalism.

Id like to see THEM exposed, but not put the spotlight on the RC scene......probably not possible scenario.

They won't get exposed though, that's the thing. The Guardian was probably the best hope but do they really care enough? Plus they went twos with Mixmag on this drug survey thing so there's got to be some sort of relationship there, probably enough for The Guardian to just leave this one alone. Can't see any news source really touching it tbh. The only people up in arms, or who care about it, are posting in this thread.

i wonder if we copied in more than just one paper. they are always looking for one-up on each other to appear to have the moral high ground. it might put pressure on the guardian to look into this for themselves, before another paper attempts to tar them with the shitty mixmag brush.

I think that's the sad truth, guess it was a little naive to expect anything to happen. The Guardian isn't the kind of paper to make an article out of this. Though perhaps it'll make them, GDS and Mixmag a little more cautious in the future about this sort of thing.

the mail will do an expose on the whole filthy trade if you ask them nicely I'm sure.

Please, let us keep some self-respect =D

ROCK / HARD PLACE.

probably just let it pass than let the Daily Mail put their spin on it. Would be interesting what shite they would print though.

You can't tell me that no-one here knows someone who could launch a DDoS attack on the site. You can't sell anything if your site's down.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the potential impact of this thread.

The guy links to Bluelight himself in order to reinforce his sales pitch on the website. He also acknowledges the importance of 'viral marketing' on Twitter, and I know for a fact he's using far less respected forums to directly sell his product. On one of those forums somebody has linked to this thread.

Remember how much of an impact BL (and EADD in particular) had on the post-meph RC vendor scene? While there's no doubt he's shifted more 'roflcopter' than he ever dreamed of with the aid of the Mixmag puff-piece, Bluelight can still hold a lot more sway than some people might imagine. Otherwise we may as well go home, eh? ;)

cocklcoptr's facebook:

"We would just like to say a special hello to our fans on the Bluelight forum. Your conspiracy theories make for some extremely entertaining reading. How about we make you some ROFL-branded tinfoil hats?"

"‎(Sssh, don't tell anyone but the real story behind ROFLCOPTR is that it's a plot by the Chinese to bring about the downfall of Western civilisation.)"

I think we're fascinating him!
