Vision sensitivity to light/ trouble reading small text - from nearly all drugs

I get this peculiar vision distortion when taking nearly every recreational drug I've experimented with. Mdma, research stims, 2ci/2cb, ketamine, benzo's, opiates. All of these make my vision extremely sensitive to light in particular. I have trouble reading any sort of text, and if its text on a backlight screen such as a phone/laptop, all I see is the bright white light of the screen.

Obviously some (if not all) of the above substances are known to cause eye-wiggles, or light sensitivity. But for me it seems FAR more proounced than with others. For instance I'm generally with others who have consumed as much, if not more, than me, yet their ability to read such text isn't impaired. And I'm often left in the embarassing postition of having to ask others to read messages and/or send for me.

So what is the cause of this visual distortion? And is the fact that it is much more pronounced for me than others something to worry about/look into?

Drugs effect everyone differently, and all of the chems you mentioned (aside from benzos, but they also mess with my vision due to the systemically relaxing nature of them) change pupil size.

Most drugs make things very fuzzy for me. Depending how hard I'm up on LSD, I can either handle technology fine, or all the letters are moving around like grass in a storm.

I understand this. And I understand that it must be something to do with pupil dilation/constriction that gives me the inability to focus on small text and backlit text. However I'm wondering what it is that's unique to me that makes this so pronounced. I've spoken to many people whilst on the same the stuff, and I've never met anyone who gets it quite as consistently and emphatically as me.
