Absolutely no reason at all, we'd done it a couple of times before to the same guy as well lol (although I wasn't there that specific time). Passed on through the generations, it was my mate's big brother that first took us out on a late night mission to bump this particular gate when we were about 12. There's probably still a load of wee guys running about that council estate who saw that gate off every year or so.
 
Ha yeah that's probably more like it. Or falling off a ladder while scoping your neighbour's wife in the bath then going round to ask for your camera.

This is all very unclear, can someone direct gannetsarewe to this thread so he can explain the situation in a clearer analogy for me?
 
It wasn't even a metal gate, a big shitty old school council wooden effort. It would just get chucked away, usually into someone else's back garden. We used to do shit like break into a shed, steal a lawnmower, then leave it on the front door step of a house round the corner. It was never done for profit, just purely because we were bored wee arseholes.

Swapping folks wheely bins was a good one, find someone that has a pure washed out & cleaned every week bin & swapping it for someone else's manky smelly never been cleaned one. They get up in the morning & clearly think the other neighbour has stole their nice clean bin lol.
 
Basically it's more or less equivalent to a gorilla the size of Belgium stretching to the moon and back FIVE TIMES in double decker buses. For every man, woman and child in the United Kingdom at once. Twice.
 
That does sound like fun. For some reason I feel like it's not stealing if you didn't financially benefit in any way and did it just to fuck with people, I dunno why... My pre-teenage years were absolutely filled with petty vandalism and generally terrorising people in a non-violent way. Our favourite thing to do was go out on a really sunny summers day with about a dozen water balloons, and peak over people's fences to see if they were sunbathing, and if they were they got it :D I miss those years.
 
^ haha reminds me of when i was younger, we did similiar things, mainly to this one poor jogger we would always see about, we would launch balloons at him from this little forest area and it was hilarious especially when my mate had a go and missed then the guy spotted him and chased him for a good bit! stoned as fuck watching my mate shitting himself legging it from this enraged jogger, if only camera phones were of better quality back then, would love to watch that back! other things involved nails positioned under neighbours car tyres (only cuntish ones mind you) the bang and look of shock on their faces was priceless!
 
I cringe at the thought of antisocial shit I was doing well into my 20s. If I could apologise to all the people whose cars I wrecked I would. 'Wrecked' is maybe taking it a bit far but still, I have no idea why it seemed like a good idea at the time.
 
I got all my stuff like that outta my system as a teenager .
Was to busy with other stuff in my 20s although i 'm sure i've done some pretty uncalled for stuff when i used to get my Temaze linctus .

I get really angry these days when i see young uns n students behaving like dicks one of the reasons i rarely go out in the city centre after dark. It just annoys me .
 
Yeah me too, I'm a proper NIMBY now, anything that sounds like trouble in my road and I'm twitching the curtains with the phone in one hand. When we were kidiots there was always competition to do the most extreme or ridiculous thing you could on a night out, preferably involving smashing something then running as fast as possible trying not to be sick from sprinting and laughing after 10 pints of stella and numerous shots.
 
i seem to have missed out on this fun. mostly cos i was dedicated solely to the cause of getting wrecked, which was quite simple if you're a girl known to put out, plenty of men were happy to share their booze/drugs with me.

i've sorted out what i'd hoped to do by midday. and not broken the previously tested as working aspects of what i was sorting out. i think that counts as a days work, so it is now officially the weekend.

I'm the same as you, never did anything like that when I was young, didn't shop lift either which seemed to be a thing. Its always been drugs with me.

hmmm i wonder if this is a man/woman thing. lets face it, these guys probably couldn't frequently get women to give them drugs on the tacit assumption they'd get something for it, so destroyed shit instead?

I was always a good girl too apart from drugs ofc, haha..

Had my meeting about returning to work today, went really well! Did a 6 mile round trip walk too, was really good to get some fresh air.. going to try to walk to work and back every day once I return, not sure if I'll manage it or not but I do feel so much better for some exercise now! Time to chill with a CWE (still not quite done the cleaning but pffft, it's Friday and I walked 6 miles earlier, can do it tomorrow.. hehe)
 
I feel like an absolute wanker for some of the vandalism we done when drunk as late-teens. It was like a path of destruction from the pub to our street, car mirrors kicked off, plant pots/bricks/bins/anything lying round chucked through windows. We were absolute CUNTS, feel like shit whenever I think about it now I hate it, I wouldn't dream of doing that now I am the total opposite. That is one of the main reasons I cant stand drinking any more.

I don't know what was so exciting about getting chased by angry people, just the sheer adrenaline I think, but a good chase was always the main goal. Wish I had discovered good drugs then instead.

One of my mates still goes round kicking wing mirrors off cars when he drinks and he is 25.

The drug scene has always been "male" so something in that, yes. But recent time's I've seen a change, which is all good =D

Haha, fucking good times man. There's times where I've sprinted like a fucking champion & I can't run at all normally lol, when that adrenaline kicks in you're fucking off while some angry grown up is after you for egging his window or some other stupid shit lol. So much fun, as BCF said - I wish camera phones were better back then, some of the videos we'd have would be fucking hilarious.

Was never into shoplifting, or stealing at all other than to cause mischief. Like, for example, we'd steal loads of silly string out Woolies & go on a rampage through the shopping centre. It was more the girls we knew that would steal clothes, make-up etc, shit they actually wanted whereas we would just occasionally steal things to aid us in our attempts to be little shites haha.

It was always boys like that who stole to just be wee naughty bastards. Never hung about with those type of girls, too many hippies teaching me how to take drugs and listen to reggae :D
