How to tell if powder is MDMA?

Hey everyone, i bought 4 caps yesterday. The guy i bought them off said they were "E mixed with MDMA" which doesn't make much sense to me but whatever, he told me to open the caps and snort them, i snorted half a cap just to check it out, it burnt like hell, which i have heard mdma will do. But i am wanting to make sure what he sold me is actually mdma because he sold me other pills claiming they were E but quick research told me they were just DMAA based pills.

Are there any other things i can do to test if it is MDMA, without buying a testing kit?

There is only one way to tell what is in them and that it to test it with a reagent kit. other than that it is anyone's guess as to what is in you cap.
 
so there is no other way? i mean, i dont need to be absolutely certain, i just need to have a reasonable idea...
 
There's no way of distinguishing it without using a test kit, it comes in all colours and forms.

From reading your original post I have a feeling you were duped "E mixed with mdma" makes no sense at all.
If you snorted half a cap you should know if its MDMA or not.

Well it's my first time with MDMA so i wouldn't know what it feels like, and it was actually more like 1/3 cap? Would i feel that?
 
E = MDMA

The only way to determine contents is through a reagent test kit (www.dancsafe.org), there is NO taste, smell, color or texture that is a true indicator of contents.

Oh, well if you didn't feel amazing then it probably wasn't MDMA, you'll definitely know it when you find it.

But the safest way would be to get a test kit, it could save you from some pretty unpleasant experiences.

Also, from experience, swallowing MDMA in the capsules is better then snorting.

DMAA is a legal, fairly common supplement in the workout/fitness world- it's a pleasant mild stimulant.

Don't touch the stuff in your capsules is my advice, wait and get a test kit. You can only know how much you took by using a scale, a "capsule" ranges drastically in volume capacity- it's like asking someone how much water they drink a day and getting the reply of "a bottle".

Assuming each capsule is intended to be one proper oral dose, 1/3 of the contents should certainly do something to a new user.

Where did you get the idea he was taking DMAA?
 
It does have a distictive smell/taste when your used to it but kits worth the money
 
there's all sorts of chicanery going on about the "smell" of MDMA. people say this and that about powder colour and texture and etc but if you dont trust your source (and it sounds like he's not to be trusted) then a test kit is really the only option, unless you want to be a human guinea pig

@Slash - You definitely need to be more careful, especially if you've never experienced MDMA first hand. Anyone could tell you that ANYTHING is MDMA and you wouldn't know otherwise since you've never touched, tasted, or experienced the real thing. It's really lucky that the 1/3 capsule you snorted didn't have any adverse effects. Really, though, it sounds like this dealer isn't to be trusted, so you should really get a kit before touching any of the rest of the capsules. You only have to use a minute amount to be tested, so it's not much of a sacrifice if it does turn out to be legitimate.
