Came on at 9 pm eastern time in America.

Very interesting. Just showed a women using dmt for therapeutic purposes. Now there talking LSD. Glad to see a drug show focus on psychs instead of the usual opiates, crack weed stories.
Next week there doing keatamine!

Mixed feelings....good neutral info about the psilocybin w/cluster headaches...they present LSD as being potentially lethal though. Saying that the dea guy who absorbed ~1000 hits through a cut on his neck from shaving suffered 'permanent brain damage' because he was never the same...pretty speculation-as-fact-ish on that part. Pretty good overall though.

Only other thing that bugged me was they misspoke with aya, saying that the vine contains dmt. When describing the prep they said the vine is mixed with leaves lol...no specification that the leaves are crucial for the effectiveness.

I'm being critical, hut you guys'll get a bit irked I bet too...drug nerds 8(
I am happy to see psyches instead of hard shit though....

How bout a documentary on lesser known RCs instead of this tired old shit. I think even people who would never touch a psychoactive drug already know enough about LSD and mushrooms by now.

True, but like I said, at least it's not about crack, herion etc.
And next week we get Ketamine so that should be interesting.

Either way, all these Drugs Inc episodes suck in my opinion and I shouldve known this hallucinagins wouldn't have been any different. Very boring. The E episode last week? Horrible. So I don't expect much out of the Ketamine episode. It's basically a don't do drugs show with little facts about the actual drug.

I wouldn't want that to happen, the less media attention RC's get the better.

Yup the tone is 'there's always a significant risk when taking a trip'.

The LSD peace-with death part was cool, a terminal cancer therapy.

They made iboga out to be more physically risky than I believe it to be (been a bit since I've read on iboga thugh). 19 associated deaths...? They did say many were from an addict mixing their doc with the treatment. But they certainly make kt seem like really going out on a lmb to seek a 'taboo therapy'.

The quote that bugged me was the dea guy was unhesitatingky confident saying his heart literally would've stopped in 15 min had he not received iv Valium. Lol, I bet that was his perceived outcome.....

Mass media pokings into our world...8( *vomits*

Anyone have a torrent for this? none on tpb seems all the cappers are canadian since it comes on here tonight, but i want it now. Theyre doing RCs in an upcoming episode, checkout the ep listings.

ahhhhhhh fucked i missed it, anywhere to find it online....or does any one know when it mite be on again?

yeh with the exception of the narc's tall tale of takin in 1000 doses bc he was freshly shaven when he went in, i thought it was great...(how in the hell did he calculate that random amount that he supposedly accidently ingested anyway??) and then he went on to say how if it werent for the street smart niurse giving him the secret cure-"lots of IV valium" is how he put it,lol.. he wouldnt have made it. "another 15 minutes and ida been dead if it wasnt for her.>" lol paaalleaase :P

other than that i really like how they spun the story to make the world of hallucinogens a world where ppl use these substances to better their lives through diff types of therapy, non traditional medicine, addiction treatment, etc. good stuff! and big ups to dude out in peru who runs that free ayahuasca farm. overall very cool

cant wait to see the ketamine and designer drugs one!

Really? The things some college-aged people believe about LSD and other psychedelics makes me cringe. I've heard the "take lsd 7 times and your crazy". They really have no conception of what these drugs do besides make you hallucinate and go crazy.

I want to see at leat one damn news show about pipes and research chems come on
Lets hope shall we

I have a bad habit of overestimating people I guess

I agree with what everyone else has said. The DEA story was pretty ridiculous, I mean its possible he absorbed LSD somehow but he has no way of knowing how much. Hopefully the episode on Ketamine next week will better.

^Not likely. Before I learned about drugs from erowid and bluelight, my only education was DARE in elementary school. They did a good job of ingraining these "facts" into my head: marijuana turns you into a memoryless slug that only craves food; ketamine and other sedatives are for people who have nothing else to live for and want to numb themselves out of the world; cocaine and other stimulants are going to make your heart explode the first time you try them.

My guess is the ketamine episode is going to focus on the illicit trade in diverted veterinary supplies, and will likely show how those who succumb to ketamine addiction end up sleeping away into oblivion and sharing needles with heroin addicts. Nevermind actually seeking the user's perspective on the therapeutic properties of the subjective experience.
