Buprenorphine - blotter??

I'll keep this short as I'm writing on an iPad and the bupe I took just before is kicking in...

Considering the low active dose for pain relief using buprenorphine, I was wondering if it would be possible to lay doses of bupe (say... 300mcg to 1mg) on a blotter for dosing sublingually...

Bupe is about half as solvable in ethanol as codeine is in water, and we all know how effective cwe's are...

The reason I want to look into this is because I could then accurately measure out doses, as I seem to mildly overdose every time I take the stuff (vomiting, nausea , shallow breathing). Plus I mainly use it for pain relief, and being able to work out (within 300-500mcg) how much I am taking would be useful...

The only issue I can see would be the binders/inactives which are: 8mg tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: lactose; mannitol; starch-maize; povidine; citric acid; sodium citrate, magnesium stearate, acesulfame potassium, and a lemon and lime flavour.

Thoughts? Am I crazy, hahaha?
 
It's pretty pointless. It shouldn't be hard to divide an 8mg pill in half 3 or 4 times to hit 500ug-1mg. It's also very unlikely you're ODing, the nausea's probably just a result of the histamine reaction, pick up some antihistamines to sort it out.
 
Try to find the films. Cutting it into 125ug pieces is cake w/ sharp scissors.

Edit: What is your ideal dosage w/ a different opiate? 1mg Buprenorphine = 32mg Roxycodone IR

No opiate usage for 6+ months, so I think 30mg or so of oxy would bd pretty sweet,!" I just spent a few hours nodding on maybe 2mg bupe and if was feeling sick at the same time dl.,still bad hah.

OM lgbandyes I know IRS u)cil easier to divide the tablet it's self hit I only have a little left, I may try crushing them and dividing the ledger into ceapsulea at an elllql level and panels that will be adorable enough.

This. the 8mg films can be cut into very small dosage units pretty easily with a good pair of scissors.

Are you using a translator? That last bit was a bit tough, I apologize.

Perhaps the naloxone is making you sick. How long does the illness last? Naloxone has a halflife of 2-4 hours I believe, so it's out of the system before the bupe is by a long shot.
 
Hell, even the pills are easy to cut up, I used to get the small 8mg ones and its easy enough to get it into 0.5mg piles as long as you have steady hands.

That's one thing you didn't mention though OP, what ROA are you going by?
 
True - and in fact they weigh 398mg. I have a hundredths place scale that's reasonably accurate, so I would weigh out my dose instead of eyeballing it.

Sorry, no I was sitting in bed with the iPad nodding hard and thought i was hitting the right buttons, autocorrect screwed it even more.

I've got a replacement mg scale coming as my old one is stuffed, so I will work out doses using that, it was just an interesting thought considering the active dose on bupe is around 200/300ug for pain relief.


I am using sublingual or intranasal (hate the drip but I have it down pat now so I get minimal to none).

The strips are not an option, I am not prescribed and I usually use the stuff for bad migraines.

I'm fairly sure it's not the naloxone making me sick, last time I took about 2.5mg with no tolerance accidentally and resisted the urge to throw up all night, next morning at work I still could not walk straight. Threw up then over 8 hours later.

I will just keep an eye out for other opiates as for my purposes any will do if they are stronger than codeine
