So I plan on potentiating my methadone with some lorazepam. It's only 10mg methadone and havent taken any in weeks+ so tolerance is fairly low, the Ativan are .5mg increments so I was wondering would 1mg with the methadone be alright ? Iv read all over combing benzos with methadone is dangerous but Im slightly tolerant to both ? Should i start with 1mg then increase by .5 ?

Id say always start with less and work your way up if u feel comfortable.....you can always take more if your not feeling it. Last thing u want to do is take it then find out ur having breating problems ect. best to start off on a low dose of the benzo to see how you react when its in combination with methadone, IMO anyway.

No. It is just as potent as clonazepam and alprazolam. It just has a better anti anxiety profile with less sedation.

This does not mean go apeshit on dosing...

After. And only if you feel like you can handle it. If you are already to sedated from the methadone... the rest is obvious... do not take anything else, not even a beer.

Jay is right. Lorazepam is one of the more potent benzos out there. It's not as recreational as, say, clonazepam, alprazolam or phenazepam, but it is just as potent anti-anxiety wise and drug interaction wise.
