Misc Tramadol use - Has it been long enough?

I used tramadol exactly two weeks ago to day.

While I know some people consider it's recreational value at zero, I know others do enjoy some of it's effects. I for one am not a big fan, but it's what I had at the time.

In the event I wanted to use another substance, like DXM, or something else that would normally have the possibility of an interaction with tramadol (SSRI, serotonin syndrome, etc. I'm a bit paranoid), would 2 weeks since my last dose of tramadol be long enough?

I have had bad experiences with tramadol that far outweighed it's recreational use after using it for almost 2 years without a break.

I learned not to toy with it, and figured I'd benefit from someone else's experience before going ahead and biting the bullet this time.

I wouldn't say 'go for it and do drugs'.

What you should do, zodddoz, is tread carefully, keep doses low if you can, at least until you can be sure. Nobody likes surprise serotonin syndrome.
 
2 weeks should be an adequate break time.

I don't think you are "overly concerned" in any sense, you are simply playing it safe. A wise choice, IMO.

Tramadol don't play no shit.
 
I personally think you should be safe...there's probably not a single shred of tramadol left in your blood. I've been on it 10 months and last week I was having a really bad day as far as pain goes and I ended up taking 200mg 6x within 24 hours (24 50mg tablets; 1200mg...3x daily max). I'm not advising ANYONE to do this as it is very dangerous. The only reason I did it was because I was averaging a 6.5 on the pain scale while on ALL my meds...and I take other meds for pain as well, so that should be an indication to you.

I wonder if my body just doesn't metabolize tramadol well, because I feel as though that should have made me seize, but I'm getting off topic, so I'll shut up...

I've never seized on it, but I've felt jumpy and sickly at the worst point. My max dose was around 400mg at a time though.

I've never taken more than 300mg at once and that was spaced over an hour to raise BA lol...I had that jumpy sickly feeling that day I took 24 of them. Was scared enough to let my parents know that I might seize while they were in bed. Explained the situation; they weren't happy lol. What's funny though is that they were mad at me for taking 3 days worth in a day and how I'd run out early. I was really twitchy that day/night...
