Fair enough.

I'll probably have to pass tho, a cunt I am but a very busy one.. Besides part-time work and studies I just started pulling together a project for late March/early April -- something what in civilized terms might be called art+music festival. Only did clubnights in London before and I'm approaching this very seriously as to identify, segment and target specific audiences (or, put differently, avoid the regular hipsters)..

Anyone knows of any talented local installation artists BTW?

Nevarrrr !! You clearly said none, and have henceforth admitted I did send one. Tis I who am waiting for the apology ;).
 
Maybe, just maybe, it's time to concede that there's more chance of a one-legged Inuit meeting a Togolese cocoa-shunter for a liquid lunch in the Dog & Duck than there is of organising a meeting between a bunch of indolent, flaky, feckless druggies who happen to inhabit the same group of tiny islands as each other?

Prove me wrong, by all means. ;)

BDD

I was a good mod when I was there but shortly after taking on the responsibility my life took a turn for the worse (opiate and heavy benzo addiction followed by cold turkey from both at the same time) and, to my shame, I just disappeared for years and years. This was about four or five years ago.

Ironically I'm now back and in the process of trying to beat an opiate addiction. I'm currently on methadone, hopefully very close to getting my maintenance switched over to either morphine or diamorphine (which will no doubt be outrageously expensive).

I'm more interested in dealing with my own problems than other peoples at this point in my life to be honest, although I do find it cathartic to try and help others. Just not here at the moment! Maybe I'll have a little looksee for old time sake. I kind up fucked up on my responsibilities, like an absentee dad who doesn't even bother leaving a note to say he's fucking off....
 
^^I rarely answer many of the general questions in the main BDD forum anymore, but there is a social thread for lighthearted chat and quick questions which I would say is one of the best threads in the whole of bluelight. They also have a monthly quiz in BDD now too which is a bit of fun. There is a bit more variety now there than there used to be a year or two ago.
 
Oh quizes, sweet! I can do them, I'm cleverer than most people (or should that be more clever?).

Good luck trying to get your diamorphine i take it you are in private treatment , do you actually have a plan and a prospective doctor willing to prescribe the Holy Grail ( DM )

N yeah it will be outrageously expensensive unfortunatley :(

I'd like to attempt to help with this meet up but I've not even managed to arrange a 2 person meet with Brimz in the past 4 months so.. probably not the best person! (Next week Brimz??)
 
i'll show up to manchester i can't travel any further or i'd need a hotel for 3 nights for recovery from the journey lol

and i am going to be in msnc by the end of the month if the occupational therapists will sort my wheelchair out quick enough so anyone wants to meet me, it will be a sunday, meet ya'll in the starbucks near victoria station. done


who wanted the artwork btw?

owen no dr will script diamorphine for maintenance, a private dr won't even prescribe it for pain, purely for terminally ill is good ol diamorphine, they stopped it for maintenance and pain about 6-8 years ago
