Heroin Opiate Resistance (not tolerance)?

Right so I've not touched an opiate in a little less than a year, and my fiance's never had one period. Over the weekend I did some h with a friend which made her curious -- so we picked up a bit and have been bumping it throughout the day. At this point I'm jammed as fuck, as expected with my very low tolerance. Having a fun time and what not. She on the other hand has felt nothing/felt a mild 'relaxation' -- but nothing more, and has taken roughly what I have, possibly more. I can't really guess as to a dose as we're not scaling here, just eyeballing lines from a small bag. Anyway we're curious about her reaction. Natural opiate resistance? She has even gone so far as to say that the h made her nauseous and uncomfortable, with only the mild relaxation and a slightly fuzzy head as a benefit.... hm PS I know that this is pretty good dope, but also that its not totally pure (duh)

It is possible for people to have a natural tolerance or resistance as you put it. It could be that she doesn't get much euphoria from opiates due to her personal neurochemistry, in which case I would be careful with redosing as she can still overdose. Another possible reason is that she isn't snorting it right and its going down her throat.

what was it? what did it look like?

is she opiate naive? if it made her sick then it sounds like she must have felt something, not everyone enjoys doing opiates their first few times.

If it made her nauseaus and 'relaxed a bit', then it was definitely working on her. I remember when I was younger and first started experimenting with opiates. It took a few "tries" before I really started to understand and appreciate the opioid high. Many people fail to notice and appreciate the sometimes subtle nature of the opiate buzz. They go into it expecting something much more intense, and opiates simply are not very 'intense', in the same sense as many other drugs can be.

My recommendation: let her run with the fact that she didn't overly enjoy it, before she STARTS to really enjoy it and then starts down that dark road to heroin addiction.

H is a helluva opiate to pick for her first opiate experience, lol.

Thanks for the replies all, informative and kind of confirmed our suspicions. The bag is gone and we are done with it -- we are mostly engaged in the psychedelic scene; I used to do percs, oxy, and h here and there back in my wilder days before I met her. My touching heroin again at all was due to a very awesome and special new years, and her having never had an opioid whatsoever we wanted to give it a shot. We are indeed running with the "it wasn't that great" reaction -- she has no interest whatsoever in further 'experiments' with h or any similar compound. As for myself, I'm sure I will do a line or 2 again someday, but not for at least a year. It is relatively hard to find and my commitment, as it were, lies with other highs

Exactly that's what makes addictive substances so addictive. There not the ones that make you see crazy shit like DMt, there the ones that like cigarettes just seem to " take the edge off" and I found that it took a while before I really understood the heroin expereince and all Its potential (which is a dangerous recognition)

I would venture to say that everyone (adult) should experience psilocybe/mescaline in a comfortable, freindly, natural surroundings (in small to moderate amount of course) & that's probably the only "drug" I would say that about.
except maybe fresh Sativa...& No (body) is gonna freak out or have anxiety attacks unless their already allowing space (being) rented in their head...

Its kinda sad dude.. you have experience with opiates and are clean, yuo relapse, and now you have someone who never used opiates using HEROIN. Thats fucked up man.. you already know how bad the shit is obviously if you had to get clean.. yet your letting your girlfriend get addicted ot heroin.
