Heroin Social: Version 5

.

I remember a fella saying to me when i was about 22 " you will be 30 before you know it , if you carry on like this " turns out he was right , i'm well past 30 now btw i'm jus passing on what i was told and ignored in the hope that maybe you won't .
Think about it .

Wait till you're 60 before you know it.

Hope it works out with your leg, brimz. Not a lot anyone can really say there.

like Brimz says, you can feel you have hit rock bottom, but unless that experience results in you wanting heroin out of your life more than anything you've ever wanted-there will be quite a bit of worse before you see the other side of this
I nearly lost an arm years back.I am almost 40 and have absolutely nothing.but i still don't want to quit.I know I need to and will most likely have to when I go to jail, but unless I want it badly,I know it will most likely be a short term thing
I have a mate in jail atm who has just done his detox. But I know that he really didn't want to quit and as much as I hope it will not be the case for him,I know deep down that he will be back at it as soon as he gets out-he's probably counting down the days-not until he gets out but until he can have a decent smoke
I think that if any of us on here could truly say they really want to quit, they wouldn't be on here(this thread anyway). They would be out getting their life together. It's a matter of being honest with yourself.
I have a friend with 1 arm and another with 1 leg-and another who died from the same thing-hope you can sort this Brimz-you need to look after yourself for a while

Cheers
Yeah i'm trying , its frustrating as my GP is on Hols and all the others at my surgery won't take me seriously or are just scared .
He's back on Thursday and it won't be a moment to soon .

Its crazy the way we can read through all these posts & agree, & then we remember our own rock bottoms yet the pull of heroin is still strong enough to keep us using! It has been one year & 4 months since i have had a proper bit of heroin, yet still to-day i crave it as much as i did this time last year. Been away from it this long hasn't made the cravings fade at all.....

Sorry to hear that brimz mate, can't image what your going through waiting for your scan results, must be really hard for you. Much BROTHERLY <3 mate, take care

Two on the way. Still, I need to find a new dealer - just spent the whole day in my room avoiding my parents and grandmother and as soon as my grandmother leaves I get a call to say I'll be sorted in about an hour. Oh the guilt. Cant to this for another year.

Is it normal to feel guilt in the new year? Maybe its that air of clarity that accompanies abstinence. Tonight, I have to catch and kill a mouse thats been living in my room for the last few months and I feel fucking awful about it too. It's quite the athlete, I've noticed. I didnt sleep much last night and I watched it leap two feet onto the shelf under my table to where I keep my foils. He'd have to have something of a habit at this stage from living in my room, theres just no way he'd escape it.

Brimz and Cbroxbide, all the best my brothers.

my dog been inhaling gear smoke for 6 years all his life and on nights that i dont use he is the most miserable little shit ever like he goes to bite me when i move . He cant sleep but after a few days he is fine i have even caught him yawning poor sod.
if he has got a habit he wouldnt know what is going on because most of heroin addiction is mental more than physical

I said this before but I will reiterate
I am sure the drought saw off my old dog
she was old and had arthritis
it was bearable for her and I think that was because she would always share a smoke with me
After a couple of weeks of the drought, the pain became unbearable and she had to be put to sleep
Anyways, the new dog will always come and put her head on my lap when I am having a smoke, for her share
But could have done without her snaffling that bag the other day

AFOAF had a dog.She used to come home from work and smoke crack-and so her dog did too
it was a pitbull/ridgeback cross
she had to leave it with a friend and whilst the friend was at work,,the crack addled dog ate one of the friends dogs

Just listened to that song, powerful words man.

So true , i've hit bottom many times , but still managed to find it again its only now after another serious injecting complication that has left me unable to walk further than 100yards without my calf doubling in size that i am considering maybe trying to stop abusing Heroin .

I mean you would have thought that the 3 previous DVTs and The 2 serious cellulitis infections may have made me think it might be an idea to not inject Heroin & Crack but no .
Gone done it again , i 'm not sure of the extent of the damage i've done this time round as the first scan was a load of bollx , i will probably find out later this week , i hope i haven't really fuked it this time but it's not like i didn't know what i was doing.

Wow man, wish you all the best with is. I really hope that whatever the problem it is easily cured and it is nothing serious. Keep us posted with what happens if you don't mind sharing that is.

My very first dealer had a Staffy who used to put his nose by your face just as you moved the tooter away from your face so you blew it in his face. I didn't do it myself but watching the guy do it surprised me at first but the dog loved it!

Hi Endless! :) Have you really got a mouse in your room? Aw, the poor little fella probably wanted to come in out'a the cold! I can understand why you feel awful about catching it, but you kind'a have to!

Why don't you use a humane mouse trap? Something that won't snap closed on the poor little creatures body & brake his back! Sometimes mice can be left alive suffering in those traps for days, those traps are out dated & cruel! I'm sure you could buy a humane trap or it would be easy to make one, use some sort of cage that closes ones the mouse goes in & then you can release him down by the canal! I think that would be a much better option! Nitey-nite! :)

EDIT..... Maybe use a humane trap like this one: http://www.pet-bliss.com/acatalog/House_And_Garden_Pest_Stop_Humane_Mouse_Trip_Trap.html

Howehyeh love ;)

Thanks for the advice, I've decided to buy a 'gluey-louis' from the local hardware shop around the corner and catch it on one of those, and if I cant get one there I'll look around in town tomorrow afternoon. Its a strip of card with adhesive on one side, so when he sticks to the surface I can just pour a flask of hot water on top and it'll melt the glue, thus freeing he into the wild. No doubt he'll make his way into another persons home but at least I wont be accountable for killing him. I just cant do it - he's been a part of my life the last four or so months at least (yes, I'm lonely) - I've even named him (Steven - spelt Stephen). The guilt would tip me over me edge. He doesnt fucking deserve to have his little spine smashed to pieces by one of those traditional traps - he''s never hurt anyone for christs sake, its only about 4 inches long (tail included).

I hope all is well this morning friends, take care.

Re pets that like a bit of gear , we have 2 cats(co-co & kitten) kitten sleeps on my daughters bed , but co-co has always slept with us on a wardrobe , but whenever we have a smoke she comes and gets on the bed and pers.
More then once she's come and scratched the door when she's heard us get the jimmy out, Wanting to come in.

Just a word to the wise..... you never have one mouse, it might seem that way as you only see one BUT is it the same one? you normally get an infestation (orrid word) or family groups (nicer description). Try and watch to see where it comes and goes from - You might be lucky and itt comes form next door (are you in a terrace or blockk of flats?) Personally I like the little critters I once lived in a squat where all we did was smoke dope all day and the mice got rteally tame, scuttling around in front of us with out a care in the world.

P.S just picked up a handful of bags of some of the best gear I've had all year and last.. Looks like old school braahhhnn- like bisto. Only smoked about .2 and its making it v hard to type

My mate put one of those behind a bath panel and forgot about it, when he remembered he came back to find just two little front feet where the poor mouse had chewed them off to escape :(
